Hopenchanging Republican Arkansas?
The K. Ryan James Blog ^ | 9 Aug 2009 | Kenneth Ryan James

Surfing around today, gleaning more reaction to Sen. Blanche Lincoln's remark that those showing up to protest the government takeover of their health care are somehow "un-American".

While surfing, I came across the website of Tom Cox, one of the many Republican candidates thinking about running against Sen. Lincoln in 2010, to read his release on her gaffe.

Once there, I noticed his new campaign logo on his much-improved website - which looks very familiar:

Hopefully, he won’t be sued by “the messiah” or Pepsi.

Frankly, I’d like to see a lot of politicians using this logo for their campaigns. I say it’s not at all original to Obama. One of his no-respect-for-copyrights “artists” lifted it from Pepsi.

Instead of stylized, hopey-changey, me-too imagery, serious conservative candidates should have classic campaign logos that harken back to a time when there was a real America, and present goals and ideas that are as far away from the Left's manifesto as they could ever be. Stand apart in every way possible.

That's the thing. It's not at all surprising that we'd see a lot of derivative pedestrian clones of the O logo by others on a tight budget, since the O-logo itself was derivative & pedestrian. It was creakily unimaginative, wholly unoriginal & utterly clicheed when the O-campaign adopted it!

At least they’ll have a candidate. Last year, when Pryor ran unopposed in a red state, was one of the low points in recent Republican history, and there have been a lot of them.

Pretty sure the new Pepsi logo came after Zero’s O. Not that it makes a difference, both are moronic.

I have met the guy. He has my vote. Conservative with a libertarian bend (just like me). May be the first campaign I get really involved with.
