I was there & was refused entrance with my camera.

Arrogant little creep too!
This was a public meeting for sure?
My wife has a cousin in Columbus, GA. that took some pictures of his neighbor who had hanged herself in the front yard of her house next door. He took the pictures from his own front porch and when they saw him doing it they demanded he turn over the film. He refused and ended up in jail. He couldn't find a single lawyer that would take the case. They all said the same thing, that of course it was illegal to arrest him and he had a great case, but none of them wanted to run the risk of destroying their practice by pissing off the prosecutor and possibly a judge or two.
That's where we're at in 21st century America. The law is practically worthless to the average citizen. 200 plus years of futzing with it and it no longer punishes the guilty or protects the innocent. Average Poor Joe citizen is caught in the middle. The police can't protect him and most jurisdictions do everything in their power to prevent him from protecting himself, sometimes even in his own home.
I see no hope of it ever changing. Things like this just tend to pile error and problem on top of error and problem until the system can no longer do what it was intended to do and finally just collapses under its own weight. Spend a day in court, visit a couple of different judge's court rooms. It's an experience you won't soon forget!
