Uncomfortable town hall meetings are just the tip of the iceberg for Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter, Scott Rasmussen writes. In a Rasmussen survey released this morning, Republican Pat Toomey is clobbering Specter, 48-36. As recently as June, Specter had a substantial lead over Toomey in a Rasmussen poll.

This is too soon for him to be so weak...we need him to get past his Dem primary....if he is a sure loser, they will find a way to dump him...although, in truth, getting him past the primary is no guarantee they will keep him - the Dems are always willing to pull a Torricelli...
2010 is shaping up to be 1994 on steroids. The thing is, we need to recruit good, solid candidates to run. I am sick and tired of the same old RINOs. Enough!
Arlen should retire and write a book about the magic bullet.
I want to see that senile, arrogant old bastard Specter humiliated by Pat Toomey! I want that old traitor put out to pasture, and all he will be remembered for is “Scottish law” and being a RINO traitor.
I would rather see Toomey actually thrash Specter.
I hope these number shold or continue to widen. Specter is a big steaming POS and needs to be flushed.
And Murtha needs to follow him swirling down the drain.

Specter should have have announced his retirement once he saw the data for Toomey in the primaries
Instead he jumped ship and got screwed by the dems
And he will lose the Dem primary if he doesn’t retire before then cause he won’t have any campaign $$$$$$$$$$
