AARP Loses at Least 60,000 Members Due to Support for Obamacare

Now we understand why the AARP made the statement last week that it has not endorsed the Obamacare plans. After months of working toward the passage of the bill (which it is still doing, but more "quietly") The AARP,which is run by liberals who favor national health car has been backing away from support for Obamacare. By acting as an advocate of the President's plan AARP has proven itself to be out of touch with its own members. Those seniors have figured out that their own health and lives are at stake in this debate over Obamacare. They know that when medical discretion clashes with limited government budgets, medicine loses, and that's why at least 60,000 members have quit since July 1:

Everything they send to me gets chopped up and sent back in their postage paid envelopes. Occasionally with “comments.”

To any lurking AARP lackeys:

Another of your annoying “JOIN NOW!” envelopes appeared in our mailbox Friday.

We used it to light the charcoal in the barbecue.

[the next AARP ‘return postage prepaid’ envelope will be sent back full of gravel]

SCREW YOU!

Fill it full of gravel or sand.

They have to pay the postage due.

Town halls?

Seriously, they've been hard left for a lot of years. They are the ones who never let Social Security get fixed. They demagogue it every time.

It’s always nice to vote with one’s wallet. Ironically, however, The Yid With Lid’s blog now is plastered with GoogleAds for AARP and AARP products that won’t get clicked on. That’s not a criticism of TYWL, it’s just the problem with GoogleAds.

AARP is a gun ban organziation, among its many flaws. I’ve never been able to understand the logic of a group that thinks 75 year old women will be safe if they can’t have guns to defend themselves from 21 year old rapists. But that’s AARP.

IMO, the closest alternative would be the USA Communist Party.

My Dad gets the newsletters and that explains the past year it’s always Obama’s ugly face on the covers.

The zero’s friend over at AARP is going to be asking for a bailout soon if membership continues to drop.

I mean who is going to pay for their high dollar lobbyist and the senate parties if membership continues to drop?

Glad people are just starting to wake up. Must continue to fight Illegal immigration is just around the corner.

Get ready to be called a racist because you oppose amnesty.

Be great if we fought against illegal taxes the way we are fighting against this crazy health bill.

I think the requested alternative was for another group or association providing the economies of scale advantage for seniors promised by AARP. But, yeah, they’ve given another glimpse of their Marxist bent.
