Fairness Doctrine is old hat. The new proposed scheme is to set up community standards boards, stuff them full of race-baiting shakedown artists like Al Sharpton, impose heavy fines on stations that “violate community standards” and (I swear I’m not making this up), give the money to National Public Radio.
Fairness Doctrine by any other name smells the same - and I am fully aware of the fallback position of the ‘local option’. But, with Air America being equally critical of The One - based on content - it may be tough to go after Rush and Hannity when AA is equally caustic.

Nothing new, it’s both sides of the one party system waking up to the facts. The people have representatives, democrats, republicans, and all the third parties are dismissed outright...

Every article that I read on Obama which has a “comments” section is inundated with anti-Obama posters. For every twenty or more “against”, there is one “for”. The tide is definitely turning.
Yes a lot of Democrats and Republicans need to be voted out and I’m talking about almost a complete clean sweep! Hey start off with a new slate and if the newbies start repeating the same mistakes, just vote them out also! I think the public on both sides of the aisles have come to realize that these politicians think they own their political positions no matter what party they are with and think that they do not have to listen to their constituents. They have gotten away with this behavior for so long that they feel invisible!
The tide is turning but for very different reasons. We are in the right and want freedom and less government, but those guys want him to do more...with less freedom for all
