Strange piece. The author says zero failed to teach on the Gates issue because he didn't make the case of racial profiling real for those of us who just don't get it. Problem is that it wasn't racial profiling. Gates made the mistake. So the author claims zero failed to teach, when the lesson was bogus to begin with. The author then claims zero fails to teach on health care by not convincing people afraid of "reform" that reform is necessary to avoid poverty which is what they really fear. Again the author doesn't understand the problem. People don't "fear" poverty. If they fear anything it's an inflexible, unresponsive bureaucracy dictating what health care they can purchase.

Nice to see libs misdiagnosing zero's problems, however. As long as they continue to NOT understand what their problems are, the more they will fail. Note that this author does have the same condescending tone as zero himself. They must "teach" us imbecile rednecks.

For sure—you can’t be a victim without a villain. Only problem for Obama is that people are beginning to suspect the One who keeps pointing out a villain is none other than the “The Man in the Mirror”!

OF COURSE — thanks for posting this.

They tried to vilify townhall attendees, but those are grassroots crowds. They tried to vilify doctors. They tried to vilify insurance companies. Etc. Each attempt sort of blew up in their faces.

The CIA investigation is a new attempt to divert attention away from the flailing health care/insurance plan and to resurrect vilification of Bush officials.

not strange. the guy is a liberal. That’s how he sees the world. The important thing is that this liberal comes as close as possible to criticizing obama.

As anyone can tell, Cohen is a communist fossil from the ‘60s.
I’m guessing he wears a gray/white ponytail.

There are several versions of the Narcissus myth, but in the end, he pines away at his own reflection until it does him in, one way or another.

Yes, confusion and infighting in the enemy camp is always a welcome event.

Unlike Carter, Obama brims with energy and charm. His brilliance is not brittle but supple.

I thought Obama was cool, which can't also be brimming with energy and charm. And where is this brilliance? Maybe Richard Cohen can give us a link to the YouTube video of Obama off teleprompter emanating all this supple brilliance. There isn't any, Obama is a plodding mediocrity.

Oh, Cohen makes my blood boil. Even if he’s occasionally right.

He speaks to alleged ‘racial profiling’ especially of young black males. Well, tsk, tsk. Middle class, middle aged blacks want profiling of young black males!

In the meanwhile, Cohen himself lives (or lived) in a nice, safe little WHITE enclave in DC with a nice, safe bridge separating HIS neighborhood from more ‘diversified’ neighborhoods. It is so much easier to preach from there!
