Virtual Graduation Celebration! FReeper kids are heroes!
Vanity ^ | August 28, 2009 | Tax-chick

Posted on 08/28/2009 4:48:11 AM PDT by Tax-chick

Today, my daughter, FReeper Anoreth (since 11/29/03) graduates from Coast Guard Basic Training.

We're also celebrating "The Boy," son of FReeper AnAmericanMother, who is graduating today from Marine Corps Basic.

And "ForgotenKnight," grandson of Monkey Face, recently deployed with a Stryker unit to Afghanistan.

Other FReepers with children (grandchildren, nieces and nephews, etc.) in the military, please join us in celebrating all our family members who are serving our country in the military.

Congrats.

Some folks worry about the make up of the young generation.

I don't.

DP could get them on line from his laptop ... but let’s get real. I’ll get Bill to do it when he gets home, while I’m doing his laundry.

As soon as I get them made, I’ll send you a “yellow ribbon” bracelet to remember the heroes, whoever they are. Do you prefer “chocolate” or “khaki” hemp?

Gosh, so am I, although I didn’t notice it until now. My white dress (with a small floral print) is in the wash, so my choice today was red or blue, and I picked the closest one to the closet door ;-).

Officially a Guardian as of right now. Or, actually, a few hours ago. Close enough.

G-D Bless!!!

Awesome start to her career...well done mom T-C, and Der Prince!!!

A great ‘roll model’ and inspiration for her younger siblings (even if they don’t admit it...they know it).

T-C please pass on our THANKS for her service to our Country.

Ping when the grad pix are up...

She’s kicking around herself right now - probably over to the Undead Thread to say Howya. I’ll light a fire under Bill, my new technical aide, when he gets home with the cameras!
