Obama needs to listen to WE, THE PEOPLE!!! If he doesn't, which is likely, then Texas will have a vote on secession.

I would support a Free Republic of Texas and I would move there, too. If Obama is going to rule us with a fascist hand, then we don't have to live under him!

I'm Moving to Texas If The State Secedes (Unless Alaska Does It First)

Obama has winked and nodded at those in Hawaii seeking to secede. How will he react to such groups in Texas?

If ObamaCare is passed, Texas may be the first in a series of states that man’s up and declares its independence.

Ready and willing to move to, and if necessary, fight for [insert name of first state to secede].

Secession appears to be the most viable way to proceed.

...or Cap & Trade or anything else that comes down the pike. Texas is pissed and they don’t do pissed well.

I hope it all works out in the end and ten years from now we have a very strong Republican majority. I would like to see lower taxes and less regulation and a turning back of the clock on healthcare - less govt involvement and a return of the country doctor.

Secession is tough stuff.

If you're a Texan, and you favor secession, then I advise that you not recite the pledge of allegiance, because if that is your state of mind, then you are pledging a lie:

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

I hope Florida joins Texas. But even the State Gov. needs to be cut to size. We have had Republican control for years and still the Gov is huge.

Or Texas could exercise the authority in the Texas Annexation Resolution and form four more states, giving Texas eight more senators and thus, at least eight more electoral votes.

Secession actually makes much more sense than pursuing the birth certificate issue. BHO will never furnish it and a Democrat Congress will never impeach him much less open an inquiry on it.

If the flag no longer represents a republic, or the Republic isn't the items listed in the pledge, then the whole thing is null and void anyway.

How many of those eight do you think would be conservative or even members of the GOP?

If Texas does this, count me in. I know most Texans don’t care for phony and superficial and wacky Californians, but I will earn my keep and join the Texas national guard. ANYTHING to be free of the Obama Nation.

No, what I pledge that allegiance to is a Republic represented by the flag, a Republic that is one nation with 50 States that provides liberty and justice to all.

That is not Barack Obama’s United States of America, not by any measure.
