Redistribution of wealth is not taking money from the rich to give to the poor. It’s taking wealth from the productive private sector and giving it over to the govt so that they can just throw it at bread and circuses.
Socialism presents a fraudulent bargain: that we each can live at the expense of others if only we would allow others to live at our expense. Christians should see that this breaks three of the Ten Commandments: lies, coveting and theft. In the end, they should realize they don’t have the authority to approve of someone else being plundered, even if it is through the use of government.
