I’ll bet Arne’s boss told him to say this.
What’s a Farce the Nation?
Why would anyone want this clown to lie to their children?
I was thinking any reason to keep your child out of public school, even for one day, is a good reason.
Glad you’re here to tell us all what we oughta do!
What makes you think that private schools are any better politically speaking?
And I’ll bet you know of more than a few people who should never ever dream of homeschooling.
These idiots can just keep talking because people are listening. People who have had enough, that is. They are digging their own graves. Let them.
tuesday....Obamaflu keeps kids out of school.
You're correct. Mine never went to public school. Lutheran school yes but never public school.
What makes you think that private schools are any better politically speaking?
And Ill bet you know of more than a few people who should never ever dream of homeschooling.
Hey Obama, is that you?
I wish the media would frame the issue properly. IF this speech by Obama were JUST that - a speech about staying in school and working hard - I would almost be OK with that. The issue is the lesson plans and the background reading - books about Obama - issued by the White House to accompany the speech. It was too much. Now I am not letting my kid go to make a statement. In the end, I believe this will just be a simple speech - but now everyone is watching.
That is so Gay!
Perhaps on Tuesday, instead of listening to the president deliver yet another speech, we could teach our children the history of our National Anthem, penned by Frances Scott Key on September 8, 1814, after the battle of Fort McHenry during the War of 1812. Have them look up its history online and let them read all the stanzas that we do not sing.
That would accomplish far more than listening to the president preach about “personal responsibility” when his cabinet members and czars show that is a trait sadly lacking in his circles.
What if the parents want to share the speech with the kids and have home time and a teachable moment?
