Glenn Beck hates 9/11 survivors. Shocking as it may sound, Glenn Beck claimed that he hates 9/11 survivors. The Fox news personality and media clown has always been an outrageous demagogue, a pied piper to the illiterate, unwashed masses that make up the Fox news audience.
Beck's remarks were made on the September 9 broadcast of The Glenn Beck Program:
you know it took me about a year to start hating the 9-11 victims' families? Took me about a year.
And when I see a 9-11 victim family on television, or whatever, I'm just like, "Oh shut up!" I'm so sick of them because they're always complaining.
From anybody else the remark would be unbelievable, for Beck, it is just another day at the office. To add insult to injury, Beck made the comments about his hatred for 9/11 survivors in trying to describe how much he hates the victims of Hurricane Katrina that were abandoned by the Bush administration in New Orleans.
About the survivors in New Orleans Beck said: But the second thought I had when I saw these people and they had to shut down the Astrodome and lock it down, I thought: I didn't think I could hate victims faster than the 9-11 victims.
And that's all we're hearing about, are the people in New Orleans. Those are the only ones we're seeing on television are the scumbags...
Beck is a moral monster. He uses his position of influence to spread hate and misinformation. But good people are fighting back. Color of Change is leading a boycott, and over 60 national sponsors have pulled out of the program. Beck's blatant racism, his open contempt and disrespect for the President, is despicable.
The Fox news network, and everyone associated with the Glenn Beck program, share a deep and lasting shame. Beck is the new Joe McCarthy. Like McCarthy, Beck's demagogic, reckless, and unsubstantiated accusations, as well as his public attacks on the character or patriotism of political opponents, will end in tragedy for Beck, and the network.

I assume this is taken out of context. I assume he hated those who were complaining about the millions of dollars they received and wanted more.

Search YouTube...beck 911 families....he says not all of them, but only about 10. Beck did not like some of these families who complained that only got so much money.

BTW, the “victim entitlement mentality” of some of these groups is amazing. I have a great deal of respect for the heroes on Flight 93, but their families’ demand for the memorial have been excessive. The Flight 93 memorial sits on a piece of land nearly twice the size of Mount Rushmore National Memorial. And, as the Flight 93 memorial was being developed, the families were whining that the government wouldn't fund it all, and that not all the land was going to be made available for the memorial. I feel for their losses, but there truly have been some demands that push or exceed the bounds of reason.

BTW, Rachel Madow just opened her show on MSNBC with this audio. I switched to Monk on USA, so I didn't hear the commentary about it. I wonder if she will disclose that it's over 4 years old.

Beck criticized the less than a dozen families with the entitlement mentality mining a personal tragedy for all it was worth, and Stone pretending that the criticism applied to all 3000+ victims.

He didn't get the right kind of love and affection from his real dad...but he's still trying.
Meanwhile, 7 people have heard of him...compared to how many that know of Glenn Beck.
He also had a late library book in seventh grade.
That audio is from 2005. It was like two weeks after Katrina, when FEMA was handing out the ATM cards at the AstroDome. That was in September of 2005.
So, now, 4 years later, it finally bothers this guy enough to write this hit piece. Taking everything out of context and omitting the biggest part of Glenn’s explanation.
This guy over there at the Examiner does hate Glenn Beck. He’s written 16 hit pieces on Glenn Beck (so far). But he didn’t actually discover that he hated Glenn Beck until July 29 of this year. That’s the date on his first hit piece.
And now, after discovering that he hates Glenn Beck a little over a month ago, he digs up 4 year old audio from the weeks after Katrina, and he takes a few short lines completely out of context. If he hates Beck so much, why go out of his way to listen to 4 year old audio?
I’m sure his hatred will subside as soon as Olberman, Matthews and Madow (and whoever else he watches at MSNBC) move on to the next conservative talk radio or fox news personality.
This guy has a “two minutes hate” at least twice a day. He’s probably watching MSNBC for the hate, and they show images and play audio from Glenn Beck and from Joe Wilson today. I actually heard them playing this audio on Rachel Madow at 9pm. They opened the show with it. But MSNBC was at least honest enough to play it all the way to the part about “I really only hate about ten of them, not all of them.” It was an honest hit piece from MSNBC.
