Much has been made in recent political history of Saul Alinsky and his Rules for Radicals. Bill Clinton reportedly followed Alinsky’s advice. Barack Obama taught a class on using Alinsky principles to keep the nation in chaos. After all, it’s easier to get radical policies enacted during a crisis. However, I assert that there is an older, much more battle-tested set of rules for warfare that are becoming more applicable to politics in the United States as the political arena begins to resemble the Roman Colosseum: The Art of War by Sun-Tzu.

We seem to be using the Alinsky tactics with some success recently. However its true that we should be looking for successful tactics wherever we find them.

Hillary Clinton’s “hidden” thesis paper was on Saul Alinsky. In particular, she thanked “Mr. Alinsky for providing a topic, sharing his time and offering me a job”.

Here’s the shorthand explanation version of the Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals” and some of his most memorable quotes. Absolutely no reason why some of the successful methods of political warfare should not be used against the people the author was teaching. As a matter of fact, knowing your opponent’s strategy is essential to taking effective countermeasures and defeating the enemy’s tactics.

Hillary Clinton not only studied directly under Saul Alinsky as his protégé - he actually asked her to take over for him and be his successor. But she refused because his modus operandi was outside of the government (via community organizers), and she wanted to use his tactics from inside the government (via Leftist bureaucrats and direct control of the Executive branch).

GReat article. We need to keep the pressure on and be more creative. James O’Keefe and Hannah nailed them. James also ridculed political correctness with his Lucky Charms video.

From the article:

"If your opponent [has a hot temper], seek to irritate him. If he is taking his ease, give him no rest. If his forces are united, separate them. Attack him where he is unprepared; appear where you are not expected.” (Book I, Verses 22-24)"

It is time to organize, organize, organize and apply the principles given.

I don’t think it’s a matter of a particular approach.

The problem is “moderate” conservatives have become meek.

They pretend it’s about dignity - but it’s about being afraid.

Conservatives don’t need a book. They simply need to stop behaving so well.

Get mad. Then STAY MAD.

Pretty simple.

I believe I know how conservatives can turn this around:

The answer is to go after Alinski, directly!! Full court press. Attack, attack, attack.

Make Alinski the issue. Demonize Alinski. Humiliate Alinski. Ridicule Alinski, and never stop.

Drive Alinski to ruin. Madness even. Then those, who support him.

THAT is the answer. :)

“Standing on the defensive indicates insufficient strength; attacking, a superabundance of strength.”

“The onrush of a conquering force is like the bursting of pent up waters into a chasm a thousand fathoms deep.”

Sun Tzu, The Art of War

Attack, Attack, Attack!

Attack and overwhelm like the bursting of pent up waters.
