I have been reading the columns about the recent Washington DC protest and the varying numbers that have been reported by either the mainstream media or Fox and even foreign correspondents. While the mainstream prefers to report the number at somewhere around 60,000 or less, Fox indicated the number was much greater, in at least hundreds of thousands and others report as many as two million, including the DC police.
So what? Obama says he knew nothing about the protest, and congress was all at home trying to convince the people to re-elect them in 2010. The crowd, no matter what its size was playing to an empty theater. Sure, we know that the number was greater than most liberal protests have been, and those of us who either were there or watched it on Fox or the internet have probably already made up our minds to vote for a more conservative candidate in 2010 and 2012, so what did the protest accomplish?
It made the people who were there feel good, and that and $5.00 will buy you a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Hundreds of thousands or millions; depending on whose numbers you believe; went home feeling that they had made a difference. Now they can go back the real world and wait for November 2010 to see if anything happened to change the status quo, and in my opinion, it wont. We may see a shift from those with a D behind their name to those with a R behind it, but so what?

yea, those same hundreds of thousands- or millions - are going to vote. That’s the difference we’re going to make. This was the warning shot..those who choose to dismiss it do it at their own peril. Next march - OCTOBER 17th all over the country. BE THERE.
You can say the same thing about people who talk about Texas seceding.
Talk, talk, talk. My 912 group (and many others) are acting. Join up or shut up, Darrel.
This was the beginning, not the end.
The first Tea Part was December 16, 1773, two-and-a-half years before the Declaration of Independence, ten before the official peace treaty, and fourteen before COTUS!
God grant that, having such a foundation beneath us, and such a blueprint laid out before us, it will not take us so long; but if we persevere, if we do not tire, if we do not falter, we can not fail.
I sent photos to my family in UK, they told me they were shocked, nothing had been on tv about this and they commented that for something this big not to be on the news had to be deliberately kept quiet. Shame fox news in UK didn’t air this.
Oh, they noticed, all right.
