Um, I AM “one like this.” And proud, too! After all, American football is the only sport that matters with the possible exception of hockey!

I like football, but the best thing about the start of football is that it means that basketball season is not far away.

I'm certainly the exception to the rule about being a sports fan. For the life of me, I'll never understand the sports obsession. For me personally, I could care less who wins a football game, a NASCAR race or anything else. Because once the game is over, my life is still the same. The result of a football game has absolutely no bearing on my life; it's completely irrelevant.

I just don't understand how a grown adult could actually care so much about a group of complete (overpaid) strangers running around a field chasing a ball. As for college football, why should I care about a bunch a 21 yr old kids playing a game?

As for football, if you take away the timeouts and standing around between plays, there are less than 10 minutes of actual play time. Also, every football game is the same! They all play out exactly the same. So what's the attraction? I just don't get it.

I'll watch the Super Bowl just because it's the Super Bowl, but generally speaking, I've got no use for the sport.
