Hi, I have been a longtime lurker, and this is my first post. I am a recovering democrat. I would like to ask all if they could email the IOC members to award the 2016 Olympics to Rio. Hillbuzz (yes, its a Hillary site, but they support Sarah Palin wholeheartedly) has a great post with all the email addresses. I think it would make a greater impact for Americans to lobby for Rio. (An added plus.. a slap in the face of Mrs."take no prisoners")

not only respecting Sarah Palin, but Liz Cheney also(and *gasp* now Dick Cheney as well)... please don’t assume all democrats are liberals. There are more Palin Democrats, or Palin Independents than most people are willing acknowledge out there.

I hope you’re right about the Democrats losing their faithful.
The indoctrination of liberalism is so rampantly entrenched in our culture that I understand how difficult it is for many to look at conservatism without bias. Maybe, one day, America will look back on Obama with gratitude(!) for unwittingly exposing liberalism’s many fundamental flaws and for a sustained restoration of equilibrium. That is, if the country survives.

The Hillary bloggers WERE in full support of Palin last year... don’t look a gift horse in the mouth... like she/he said many of the Hill# people were raised democrats and didn’t know anything different their entire lives... I followed their blogs with interest last year and it was an eye-opener how painful it was for many of them to see their party for what it has become...
Good post and welcome.. don’t let some of the negative people get to you; I followed HillBuz and the other large Hillary site (don’t know if it still exists since many got upset when they opened it to all posters after the election) and I found it very interesting to look in on how you were all agonizing over what has happened to your former party.

Dittos on the welcome. Has anyone heard that Valerie Jarrett (sp?), Zeros’ left hand woman, has a substantial financial interest in the property the Olympics would use if Chicago won the selection? I heard it on Glenn Beck this am radio
A number of Hillary supporters also support Gov. Palin. They may not share all of her views, but they are intelligent enough to see past the BS and lies about Palin. Most importantly, they respect her as a woman and did not take kindly at all to the personal attacks hurled at Palin and her family.
Daley’s derogatory comments about the other candidate cities probably haven’t helped either.
I have contacted the IOC but asked that they eliminate both Chicago and Rio from the list. Brazil refuses to honor the Hague and return the 70 kidnapped children to their left behind American parents, Sean Goldman being the most well known child being held in Brazil.
I’ll give you props for replying, but continuing to pimp Hillbuz isn’t getting the judges to go higher than 5.5....
