Newsweek Calls Obama An Empty Suit
Communists 4 Obama ^

Posted on 09/30/2009 5:41:53 AM PDT by MaxCUA

Howard Fineman takes to the pages of Newsweek to say the words Obamaniacs do not want to hear, especially not from another lib. Barack Obama is an empty suit: The president’s problem isn’t that he is too visible; it’s the lack of content in what he says when he keeps showing up on the tube. Obama can seem a mite too impressed with his own aura, as if his presence on the stage is the Answer. There is, at times, a self-referential (even self-reverential) tone in his big speeches. They are heavily salted with the words “I” and “my.” (He used the former 11 times in the first few paragraphs of his address to the U.N. last week.) Obama is a historic figure, but that is the beginning, not the end, of the story.

No, that is the end. He was elected because he was black. End of story.

It's about time Newsweek reported something true about this media created fraud. Maybe they could begin reporting how this arrogant fool is weakening our security and encouraging our enemies. I guess that would be too much to ask of the sycophants in the government media.

Contrast this character with GWB. Fell out with the latter because of the Mexican invasion tragedy, but not even close in terms of real character.

He was elected because he was cute, black, and polite. He presented himself, private school in Hawaii upbringing notwithstanding, as the stereotypical well-behaved, humble, underprivileged youth deserving special consideration, and he got it.

Obama is a historic figure, ...

I don't know why everyone keeps saying this as it it were some kind of positive attribute. Obama is "historic" only in the sense of being historically unqualified for the office he holds, and as a result will turn in a historically poor performance and book a historically bad record. I mean, geez, you could say that Jimmy Carter was a historic figure, historically bad. Richard Nixon was also historic, first President to be forced to resign. Bill Clinton and Andrew Johnson were also historic figures, the only Presidents to be impeached.

Obama needs to be more concerned with righting the ship and getting something positive done than any kind of "historic" judgment. A good first step would be to ditch the first-person pronoun he is so fond of in his multitudinous speeches.

All we need now is for some big names in the media to start saying, "Hey, has anyone noticed how weird it is for Obama to spend a million dollars to hide his birth certificate? What's up with that?"

Put that in everyone's living room 24/7 and see what happens.

Another slam against Obama from Newsweek?

Good God, Hell has indeed frozen over. I am thinking the story I heard last night about the Mayor of Hell, a Mr. Satan, petitioning the 2010 Winter Olympic committee, to have some events moved to the town of Hades, may be true.

Obama is the pious lecturer many libs are in their own lives. He’s that Subaru you always see on the highway plastered with lib decals. The better to lecture other motorists on how to live their lives. At least you can pass the Subaru. Obama appears to want to be a virtual presence on the tv. As of now whenever President Subaru comes on the tv, I can turn to another channel. But for how much longer?

Well, as the Sixth President, John Quincy Adams, put it:

"The President himself is no more than a representative of public opinion at the time of his election; and as public opinion is subject to great and frequent fluctuations, he must accommodate his policy to them; or the people will speedily give him a successor; or either House of Congress will effectually control his power. It is thus, and in no other sense that the Constitution of the United States is democratic - for the government of our country, instead of a Democracy the most simple, is the most complicated government on the face of the globe." - John Quincy Adams

Getting elected is one thing. Maintaining the confidence of the voters is another. The first order of business, under the provisions of the Founders' Constitution, is to change the makeup of the Congress, so that the "House(s) of Congress will effectually control his power" until the next Presidential election. That needs to be happening now.

By those mechanisms, "the most complicated government on the face of the globe," this Republic, will work in the way it was supposed to work to correct misperceptions and mistakes that endanger the people's liberty.

A basic trait of Narcissists per Dr. Sam Vaknin. He says the normal person uses "I, me, & mine" and average of 10-15% of the time. Obama on the other hand uses those terms 70-75% of the time, even when it's clearly not called for about the topic of which he is speaking.
