Angry Country: The Product of Pure Political Cowardice

Lot’s have been said about how divided and “angry” America is these days.

But has anyone really asked: why?

The answer is rather simple: years of pure political cowardice in actually governing reality.

There is a truth in saying that the division that now roils the nation is the by-product of that freakish time known as the 1960s. Arguably, it was during this time that the great division between competing American visions was sewn. But it is also a convenient argument to make this snapshot of history the political and cultural scapegoat for what came after.

There is no need to get into a hackneyed analysis of that inauspicious period in American history at this point. The exercise is largely futile and, frankly, boring.

What is of interest is looking at those years following the 1960s and how they were managed, or mismanaged, by the modern political order which to this day continues to add unwanted and unneeded fuel to the fire of division that embroils America.

The Republic is currently divided into two camps:

Those who support Western Culture and those working to destroy it.

Western Culture? You mean Abortion, secularism; situational ethics, gay marriage, etc. THAT's western culture.

Besides "The West" is an invention anyway only a little more than a milennia old. Before that, the Italian peninsula had more in common with North Africa than it did with northern Europe.

Fortunately, Americans are beginning to realize that Obama was a HUGE mistake. The question is will they awake in time to stop him and perform damage control.

Like you I am a libertarian (small l intentional). The Western Culture that I refer to is in a classical sense, as in classical liberalism. Secularism, abortion, etc., are products of statism or slave cultures.

To quote the Lizard King “the West is the best”

“blind idealism and, frankly, pure idealistic BS without realistic policy is a classic recipe for failure and national division.”.....

Once all the taught idealism leaves the classrooms of whack left campuses it falls flat on its ass confronting reality.....

Democrats can’t run a lemonade stand! They’re going to take over so much of what makes this country successful and turn it into crap!
