Bush ANG documents weren't proven fake
FNC - Cavuto ^

Unbelievable ... his lawsuit is in appeal, and "he's a long way from being done yet." He's discounting any partisanship regarding this.
Claimsng Viacom/CBS shut down the whole thing, and powerful political and corporate forces are controlling the news.

The simple fact that the proportional font used in the document is the default MS Word font, and no standard typewriter of the day could print proportional fonts, pretty much pounds the nails in Dan's coffin from the get-go.

Cavuto is doing a good job with the interview. Rather seems to be more upset about the ‘Corporate culture’ at SeeBS than the fact that he was duped himself over the TANG story.

Hey Dan I have a case for you to investigate...... Obama’s birth certificate.
To: STARWISE
Earth to Dan, CBS ran the story! They only slapped it down and punished you after it became obvious to everyone it was a lie. Either Rather’s delusional, which is a possibility, or he’s shucking and jiving to salvage his reputation, which is more likely. Who knows how well it’ll work. Never underestimate gullibility.
By the way, he actually used the phrase “speak truth to power”. As if he’d be doing that during the current administration.

...and powerful political and corporate forces are controlling the news. OK, he's not completely nuts, he is half right. We know the docs were fake and in this suit it has come out that CBS/ Rather was aware that Bush actually volunteered to go to Vietnam and his CO refused the request because he believed his unit may go and he didn't want his unit broken up; but, we should support his suit to expose that media companies kill stories and bend stories to protect their other interest (NBC - GE).

“Rather seems to be more upset about the Corporate culture at SeeBS than the fact that he was duped himself over the TANG story.”
Which is funny, considering how consistently Big News and Big Entertainment disparaged Bush. Whether or not corporations are good for journalism or democracy or whatever, in this particular case, they were on Rather’s side. Or rather, they let Rather’s side carry the day.
I’m not silly enough to argue that corporations aren’t shills for Big Government, or that their petty disagreements with Bush amounted to proof that they “speak truth to power”—real power, that is, not the transitory power held by this or that party—any more than Nazi attacks on communists is proof that Nazis aren’t socialists. All I’m saying is that Big News was on Rather’s side, before and after they canned him. It has been at least since Nixon.
To: STARWISE
Rather reminds me of Baghdad Bob claiming that the Americans are not at the airport with an American armour division behind him. What is so funny is the issue of Bush's National Guard service record being such a non-story. If you're going to destroy your credibility, make it over something important.
To: Yo-Yo
Yes .. and he’s appealed, apparently
has already spent $5M.

Rather is an idiot of the greatest magnitude. This is what happens to a man who has no talent beyond a good voice and gets no criticism for 40 years. Nursing homes are full of people who have the same grasp on reality as DR.
