Here is the first part of Sean Hannity's conversation tonight with liberal Michael Moore, where Hannity confronted Michael Moore about why he is so against capitalism when it was capitalism that made it possible for "Capitalism: A Love Story" to be made.
"The capitalist system allowed you to get here," Hannity insists.
"No, it didn't," Moore replied.

I saw this and was disappointed that Sean didn’t present facts to get Moore to buckle.
moore’s best role was in Team America
I’m watching this as we speak on TiVo. I’m gonna barf. He calls the terrorsts ‘just criminals’....and says he’s a ‘Christian’. This guy is soooooooo smug, I want to slap his fat face....but, then again, I’d just get greasy and would need another shower.
Moore is very hard to stomach. He is so offensive and full of himself.
Couln’t agree more (no pun intended). I’ve watched maybe 10 minutes total of Hannitys new show and to be honest, I think it would be more interesting to watch that idiot Colmes.
Seans a great guy and all, but he just repeats the same old litany over and over, and at least H&C had enough comic relief that it wasn’t so boring.
Sean is a mess. The one guy of all of the talking heads out there I just cant get into. Yes, he is on our side but does not present and explain well IMHO.
Go Cards!!!!!!!
I saw this and was disappointed that Sean didnt present facts to get Moore to buckle.
BO had a weak interview with him a few years ago as well. I think anytime Moore goes on Fox don’t expect a blood bath.
Sean was not the person to interview Moore. I’d love to see Mark Levin conduct the interview—now THAT would be worth watching. Sean is just a little too nice and lets important statements go by unchallenged.
This was nice to see. Here were two persons on the other side of the spectrum from each other. you would of never thought they would get together and actually show that they seem to be friends. I was glad to see it. I guess MM does have a human side after all.
Moore was proving to be a better interviewer. He is good at asking follow up questions: “What was the sermon at church?” And he is slick in changing the subject when he’s confronted - going from Castro killing a family by simply brushing it off as being “40 years ago” and Sean didn’t follow up on how long it takes for murder to be OK. The he jumps to the people “We” (the US) killed in the last 10 years.
I wish the entire interview was there, but I have a feeling Sean didn’t get off the ropes.
Yep, I’d pay $$$ to see Mark Levin slash into Jaba.
Yeah. He usually sits on it. Did he have anything to say about owning Haliburton stock?
I like Sean, but the interview was truly soft and sweet. In true liberal form, Moore would continue talking while Sean was talking. Man, if I was Sean I would just stop and say - we’re having a conversation, please refrain from speaking while I am speaking or the interview is over. Hum...if you didn’t notice, this is my show.
They are allegedly both professionals - let’s start acting like professionals having a civilized discussion.
It’s my #1 pet peeve in Talk TV and radio. It’s why I can’t stand Bill O’Reilly as well...he can’t help but inject in the middle of everyone’s thoughts.
Moore, like Obama is an Idealist. He thinks people are instinctively good and thinks if you “love your neighbor” they will love you back. THAT WAS THE FUNNIEST LINE OF THE INTERVIEW. uh... Michael, Jesus loved his neighbors and they murdered him for it.
No matter what those idiots do with policy or movies, the rest of the world will always dislike America because of what it represents. Freedom to pursue happiness. (at least we are right now, sort of)
I’m getting depressed about all this garbage.
If capitalism is so bad he should just give his book away
Sorry, but Hannity pissed me off the other night with his handling of James Traficant after getting out of prison. I won’t watch him anymore.
If Michael Moore is a Christian now, why is this the first we are hearing of it? Didn’t he pay protesters to dress up as “puritans” and harass Kenneth Starr?
And even if Moore is sincere in his new found religious belief, Jesus never asked us to give our money to the government to give to the poor or to set up any sort of government.
I think there is more of Elsworth Toohey in Moore than any sincere desire to help his fellow man but that is just my opinion.
Why doesn’t that guy just move to Cuba already, let them rip him off of all the money he made off capitalizm so he is stranded there. We would all be much happier.
I’m glad I saw this thread because I was saying to myself “I hate to admit this, but it seems like Moore actually won”.
He didn’t, of course, but Hannity seemed to let him by using kid-gloves on him.
Dang, Sean, you could have done better my friend.
Sean gave a poor showing of what a constitutional republic really means, and Mr.Moore got his points across. They seemed to be talking past each other.
I turned off the tellie during O’Reilly and kept it off knowing this idiot was going to be on Hannity. Hannity’s radio and TV shows are starting to get boring. Same old talking heads day after day, night after night. I’m sooooooo tired of Bob Beckle, Dick Morris and Newt Gingrich. I like Dick Morris’ commentary on most things but it just seems like Fox could get poor Sean some new blood. Glenn seems to rotate guests around well. Hmmmm.
Dream line up would get rid of Schlep Smith and replace with Stossel or ANYONE ELSE, move Glenn to O’R’s spot and combine Greta and Sean and then let O’R have the pithy left over slot for his bloviating.
Hannity was a total wussy and lost a significant amount of credibility. The big bad right wing host was no better than any of the clueless conservative talking heads in this interview. He had a golden opportunity to eviscerate the fat F&&& Moore. As an aside, Moore really needs to consider 2 words: Slim Fast
I watched about 10 minutes of it and couldn’t take anymore. Interesting that Bill O’Reilly said before Sean’s show was on that Moore wouldn’t let him, O’Reilly, interview him. Gee I wonder why, could it have anything to do with that Michael Moore spoof movie O’Reilly made? “I just like slapping you.”
Bwahaha!!
Much is being made on the HuffingtonPuffington Post that Sean couldn’t remember the “sermon” in his Catholic church two days ago. First of all, it’s not a “sermon”, it’s a homily, and the vast majority I sat through as a girl when I was Catholic were BORING SNOOZEFESTS! I don’t blame Sean one bit for not remembering what the priest talked about in his 15 minute “homily”.
At least Moore showed up with a shaved face and a coat and tie. I have to give him some credit for that.
“’The capitalist system allowed you to get here,’ Hannity insists.
‘No, it didn’t,’ Moore replied.”
He’s right, you know. Michael Moore became rich and famous not because he offered a decent product that people were willing to buy, but rather by forcing people to watch his movies by threatening to eat them.
I watched some. Sean was pretty weak in all honesty. He is the epitome of an echo chamber. He doesn’t really add any insightful substance to any discussion, and this was very apparent with Moore.
Hannity always paints himself into a corner defending the RNC like a water-boy. Moore talked about a bigger picture and Hannity was still stuck on first base. There is a bigger picture beyond what Moore was talking about and Hannity dropped the ball.
I could only take about 5 minutes. Sean was a major, but not unexpected, disappointment last night.
Hannity wouldn't know a follow-up question if it hit him in the a$$. His "interviews" are nothing more than regurgitation of talking points.
