The Obama coalition is fragmenting

Good tidings from Virginia that may extend all the way across the nation. The coalition of voters that propelled Barack Obama to the White House is fragmenting and falling away, losing interest in Obama and unlikely to support other Democrats in future elections- at least if the Virginia gubernatorial election holds clues to the rest of the electorate. The anti-GOP wave has crested.

From the Washington Post regarding a poll of Virginians focus on potentially critical shifts among Obama's coalition:

I suspect they are beset with all manner of psychological problems stemming from unresolved shame.

The anti-GOP wave has crested.

Out of the frying pan, into the fire, and back into the frying pan. Joy.

Anyone who is still happily following this idiot down his path to gloom and doom is a real moron. People need to open their eyes and pay attention to what is happening around them. Right now, it’s not good.

Many probably aren’t attracted to the ‘get Whitey’ tenor.

The blacks and the kids may not care all that much about Deeds, but they will care in 2012 when Barack is back on the ballot.

They’re also keeping his poll numbers up nationally. As long as he 95% approval among blacks, 70% among hispanics, and 65%+ approval among the 18-29 set, it’s going to near impossible for him to really fall that far down in the polls.

Earlier today someone posted a poll for the VA Gov race. The GOP candidate is pretty far ahead of the Dem (Deeds?).

If you are in VA do not be complacent - get out and vote.

The number that was pretty shocking in the data was the independents. They were breaking very hard for the GOP candidate. I forget the numbers but maybe 65-35 or more than 60-40.

I think some Independents got caught up in the Soros hedge fund shorties manipulated panic and bomb that was set pre-2006 by the Sandlers at World Savings, Rahm and Gorelnick and others Raines etc when they were at Fannie and Freddie, possibly Stan O’Neil at Merrill and others. This starts even earlier with CRA lawsuits (Obama in Chicago) suing to force banks to make mtgs and loans to people who coul dnot repay.

Anyway - independents panicked with the Oct 2008 meltdown and took a flyer on Obama. The coup leaders, including the media, probably figured this would happen. Bush and Juan MCCain were caught flat footed.

Now I think independents, if they have an IQ over 50, clearly do not like what they see. VA sshould be a rout and hopefully Corzine gets bounced. They are going to try to vote on healthcare before the early Nov elections.

If the GOP eventually HAS landslides and regains control - they should put some of these people up on charges to face real jail time.

If I’m any indication... I don’t know about this part though.

“The anti-GOP wave has crested.”

While on one hand there’s certainly a case to be made that just about any Republican would be less bad than Obama when looked at only in comparison to one another, it almost seems pointless to hand the reigns of power back to the GOP if it’s the same old GOP we’ve had for, well, the last hundred years.

I’m done voting for Republicans who just want to “grow the government less” and “manage the government more efficiently” than the Democrats. I want to vote for people who will commit to the long-term dismantling of pretty much EVERYTHING the federal government has done since 1901... and a restoration of the constitutional principles of the founding fathers.

I don’t want my candidates to say let’s “reform” the health care system and let’s end “welfare as we know it,” I want to vote for candidates who will call for the eventual abolition of things like Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, HUD, the Education Department, the EPA, and on and on and on. I want to vote for candidates who will govern in line with the 19th century interpretation of the commerce clause and the general welfare clause (the latter isn’t even a true “clause” anyway) rather than a “progressive” 20th century interpretation.

I would guess a lot of 19-29 year olds in the next 2 years are not going to be happy with no job.

Mommy and daddy are carrying them now but as things get worse - they will be on their own.

You mean Americans don’t really want to be a poor third world corrupt stink hole, kill our soldiers, hate themselves and their country, share their wealth with Obama’s tribe...? This is quite shocking./s/

Obama is a Harvard trained community organizer ushered into office by a bunch of freeloaders. He has peaked long before he was elected. Idiots all that voted for him.

Karl Rove wrote an article in the WSJ along the same lines, about the fact that the Republicans are winning on health care because their are really two issues at stake, the health care bill and the November and mid term elections. There are now only two percent Democrats than Republicans and independents now favor Republicans by a nine percent margin. Seniors are now overwhelming opposed to Obamacare, but I forget the numbers, but Rove said that not only will the Democrats lose the senior vote if they pass Obamacare, but they will lose the families of those seniors as well. Then there are the college graduates who usually favor Democrats, but only give Obamacare 33% approval.

The meds are wearing off, the hypno-coins have stopped spinning, and some of the idiots are waking up with their own clothing piled at their feet with a vague memory of having clucked like a chicken and pretended to lay eggs on the stage.

I can’t see him doing anything to excite much more than those dummy groups’ support in the polls.

Perhaps the Obamanoids are holding back stimulus $ to be used to generate enthusiasm among the ignorant to vote Democrat but their voting habits are historically rotten and 2008 was likely an aberration. And ACORN may not be around to provide help with the “ground game” next time.

I agree with you about Virginia but I don’t see Corzine losing in NJ. Cristie is running a lackluster campaign and the independent candidate is siphoning away votes that might otherwise go to the pubbie.

Rove was citing Gallup. Have a look at Rasmussen, which was far more accurate in the 2008 election—they have the pubbies up by four in the generic contest.

Up by four is even better. I guess Rove was trying to be conservative in his siting of Gallup! Rove did mention Rasmussen when he talked about Obama's approval numbers. He said that Rasmussen states that Obama's approval numbers have indeed stabilized and that they remain unchanged from September, with 50% disapproval and 48% approval.

I guess Rove isn't buying those German polls that AP put out.
