My child is serving in Afghanistan. I remember months ago seeing the brave unit get on buses to deploy. One could feel the proud resolve emanating from the group of them. My thought was it was pride in the belief that they are going over there to do what they are trained to do.
Last week I received a call from my young warrior the following was said. Morale was low and they were not doing what they were trained to do.
My young patriot had a lot to, get of my chest, but couldnt speak about it just then.
Was I worried? You bet, I was and I still am. One of the things that we discussed was what impression of the war was here in America. I attempted best I could to give a synopsis of the overall uneven media coverage and the propaganda coming from the White House. I stated that we do have General McChrysal asking for reinforcements...

What do the black American troops say about this ???
Johnson’s War in Vietnam part II
Hi Nana,
I’m not sure I know what you mean? Please elaborate.
I meant the ones who may have voted for Barry...
and are also fighting in Afghanistan...
How do they feel now ???
Oh, and our soldiers don't like it either.
So Obama is Uniting the Taliban and our Troops (God Bless Them!)...
so maybe he deserves the prize after all ! /circular reasoning>
Cheers!
He is one of them. He bowed to the king of Saudi Arabia. His bosses goal is to humiliate the U.S. military and to get more Americans killed. He changed the rules of engagement to get our troops killed faster.
Judge David O. Carter - are you listening?
“Oddly” I doubt many of them are on the front line.
I have a son in the US Marines.
He may be deployed to Afganistan in January 2010.
I was proud of his service under Bush. Under Obama I fear for his life.
Obama is well on his way to being worse to/for the military than Clinton or even Carter.
I also have a son in the US Air Force. He once thought he would be a lifer but since the election he is doing a countdown until he gets out.
My son hasn’t deployed, but it’s a worry for us. I feel that the rules of engagement have been changed to favor the enemy. I want all of our kids to come home and now.
I used to be in favor of this war. I’ve heard the argument that we have to prevent Al Qaeda from access to Pakistan’s nukes—yet we do nothing about Iran and North Korea’s nukes—as if they wouldn’t supply our enemies with the means to attack us.
I have a fantasy, 10’s of thousands, 100’s of thousands descend on our military bases and demand that our boys are allowed to fight in an overwhelming surge (and not be prosecuted by some world court later on) or bring them home NOW. If they are not prepared to fight all out, what is the point! There is no victory here—just a draw somewhere down the line.
With the money we save we can buy intelligence, friends and goodwill. Then we use our superior technology to decimate the Taliban and Al Qaeda.
Pray for military intervention - here at home.
you have my prayers and thank you for your sons service!
That is a good question! I hope we are able to find out.
Peace to you!
I pray for your family and honor the patriots in your family. Thank you for their service!
