Karl Rove Says It Is "Highly Unusual" that Gibbs and Axelrod Attend War Cabinet Meetings - Video

Here is video of Karl Rove reacting to accusations by Obama Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who claimed virtually nothing has been done in Afghanistan in eight years of U.S. presence there. Emanuel claimed they were having to start from scratch in Afghanistan.

Rove pointed out in a picture of Obama's "War Council," that David Axelrod and Robert Gibbs are present at the meeting. Rove said that is "highly unusual." In his years in the Bush White House, he said he never attended a war cabinet meeting. He also said it is unwise to put your press secretary in a meeting where they may hear information they will have to deny or "dissemble about" rather than reveal sensitive war information to the press.

At the 45 second remaining mark of the video, Rove said the Obama Administration has "destabilized the Karzai" Government in Afghanistan by actually sending in James Carville to help with the campaign of President Karzai's opponent! . . . (VIDEO)

They are so unprofessionally, it is an embarrassment. I heard that Rahm is running the show.

Well, you must admit that it would be difficult for BO to speak without Axelrod's hand up his backside.

No idea why Gibbs would be there though.

That is the first I heard of this. I wondered where the claims of 25% questionable ballots came from. If that political hack was involved, I'm surprised he didn't claim 50% fraud. Seriously, this does make me question all of the voter fraud rhetoric we are getting.

If James Carville and the rest of the damn democrat party is interfering with Afghan elections, it wouldn't surprise me in the least that ACORN and other criminals were also involved therein.

My brother worked the last elections in Iraq. The poll watcher commented that the elections there were more civil than the ones here.

It is sad that this administration is so dishonest, and so clearly willing to manipulate the truth, and to meddle in affairs of state, that I can’t really trust that Karzai stole the election. Part of me believes he was legitimately elected and the Obama administration planted evidence against him because Obama wants an excuse to pull out of the country.

Just our allies. They are kissing up to our enemies. But I feel bad for all the countries that stood buy us after 9/11, and committed to the global fight against radical muslim jihad and the war on terror.

One by one, the new “leader” of the “free world” is picking off our allies, and crushing them under his heal.

Oh yes! Rove mentioning this was the first I heard of it also, but here is a link from 25 July:

James Carville Joins The Afghan Campaign Trail

Some interesting lines:

Carville's goal is to try and force the presidential election into a second round. That will happen if no candidate gets a majority of the votes cast on Aug. 20.

-snip-

Ghani is equally driven. He and Carville met in Washington this spring through mutual friends. Carville won't say whether he's being paid to advise Ghani, but the candidate claims Carville is volunteering his time. It's clear, however, that the challenge is part of the deal's attraction.

Now the present Adminstration will of course deny that they had anything to do with Carville going off to Afghanistan volunteering his time (snigger, snigger). However, is there anyone who doubt that if the WH had objected to Carville's association with Ghani they would have been able to get him to resign that mission. I mean who is the SoS?

I’m sure that is true. There are no reports of Black Panthers standing outside of voting booths with nightsticks there!

Do you have a ping list? In that case, please, ping them.

I had not heard about this before, and I wonder how many had. But really why would the WH try to undermine Karzai? This was the war that Zero repeatedly told the voters was important, and now he will find himself in a real conundrum how to win it. He will have no real Afghan partner, and there may not be any central government for a long time. Ineptitude? A way to end the US involvement? (But that's not going to be easy. And what's going to happen to Pakistan?)

Certainly, the Dim double play in Afghanistan needs to be brought to people's attention.

Thanks for the links. Still nothing from the MSM as far as I could see.

Do you have any idea why the WH allowed Carville (well connected to the SoS) to undermine Karzai? Sheer ineptitude by the WH or some machiavellian idea?

Maybe they're in the meetings to provide "cover" for all the information being leaked to our communist enemies...
