Why did Andrea Mitchell step so far end so abruptly out of character for a news reporter?

Watching the video clip, I came away with the impression that Andrea Mitchell was almost panicked and definitely felt a need to distance yourself from any criticism of George Soros. Why? Is it because it is dogma at NBC or MSNBC that George Soros is to be pandered to because of his wealth and influence in the Democratic Party? Is it fear of George Soros because of his immense power that he can wield through his 527s which control much of the Democrat party? Is it a social obligation stemming from a relationship between her husband, the former chairman of the Fed, and Soros the international multi-billionaire? Do they have a business relationship today?

Whatever the motivation, I instantly felt that Andrea Mitchell was far more concerned about jeopardizing a possible relationship with George Soros than she was about jeopardizing her relationship with NBC or her standing with the public.

She said, “I would not describe George Soros that way. He does good work with the Clinton Global Intiative.”

I think she was talking about the charge of “scurilous” and “smearing good people.” Not “left-wing.”

Why is this news. They never think anybody in this country is left wing or even liberal. However, they readily throw around right wing and conservative. Any article or news report about a conservative will always label him as such or right wing. Rush is always “conservative talk show host”. Never just talk show host. They find lots of conservative in the Congress but Democrats are rarely labeled as liberal and never ever as left wing.
If Lenin were alive and politically active in America as a Democrat he would never be labeled with any wingy name.

Oh I have a good grasp on the situation and you are dead on! If Mao is normal. If Mardi Gras in normal. If a SF parade is normal. If cutting up a partially born human is normal...most of America IS a bunch of right-wing zealots. But what is more troubling is what do THEY consider to be left of their position. I think those are the questions WE should be asking every time one of the talking heads brings up the “Right-wing conspiracy” the immediate response should be, “What do you consider left-wing extremism?”; “How much tax is too much? 40%, 50%, 80%; “What is too rich?”; “What is too poor?” If we get some of these libtards on record, it would really open the eyes of middle America as to whose is really the extremist.
