Over the Columbus Day weekend, my wife and I traveled to Brooklyn, N.Y. to visit our daughter and her boyfriend. I was strictly admonished by my wife not to talk politics during the visit, since my daughter's boyfriend is a radical leftist. He, being a well-educated social science buff, and I, being who I am (a well-educated "right-wing nut job"), we had created many spectacular fireworks during past political debate sessions.

They only hate other peoples wealth. They cling to it when they get their own.

The end game is the permenant elimination of all political and social opposition. The fact that Olberman and Maher are calling conservatives “Bags of meat” indicates that these people are beyond reason and moderates shouldn’t bother trying to get along.

Here’s a good quote from one reviewer: I highly recommend this book. It shows that hard work is the way to go. If you allow government to consume everything you will get nothing but digested waste. Their goal is to render wealth irrelevant in their utopia. Lefties are always seeking to change the rules of the game in mid-play. Capitalism is the way we presently keep score, the way we ascribe value to assets, the way we make sense of the necessity to exchange our time and labor for goods and services. The leftist does not want to keep score this way.

The lefty is essentially a God player (which is why he is so atavisticly opposed to religion) who wants to order and regulate society according to his own lights. If the people value the freedom and independence which the private automobile gives them higher than a communal experience of public transportation, the lefty disapproves of that judgment. If the lefty deprives the people of the wealth which enables them to make that choice, he wins the argument by forcing them onto the subway and he gets to play God.

In a Clavens -Pivens sense, the leftist wants to do away with wealth not so much because he hates wealth but because doing so will precipitate a crisis which will enable him to construct his utopia.

In the Orwellian world of this utopia, there will be no need for wealth because all will be ordered and arranged according to the desires of the leftist.

The class envy game has never seemed to get very far in this country—just ask John Edwards.

Zippy is playing the game right now to drum up a leftist Dhimmi turnout in NJ and VA next month but the majority of Americans are still put off by it since so many have aspirations of personal financial gain.

Maybe if the libs succeed in driving the economy totally into the gutter people will start to fight over scraps. But I don’t think we’re there quite yet.

I actually know someone who also believes this way--as long as he is also living poorly. He's a socialist because he's poor. He freely admits it.
