The NRA magazine this month has a short 4 paragraph article that the UK is considering banning glass pint glasses as they can be broken and used as a weapon. Forcing bars to convert to some sort of unbreakable plastic resin instead.
Does anyone have a comparison in the gun crime stats from pre-1997 to the present?
Even we weren’t stupid enough in Canada to ban guns outright. Nor were we stupid enough to disarm our police forces.
The cops have guns now in London ? Well, that’s not sporting.

My wife was in London a few weeks back, and she was surprised at all the machinegun-carrying cops there.
When the people were armed the bobbies didn’t need to be. Now that the people are disarmed the cops need to be armed to the teeth. Gun control works it’s wonders again.
Saw that in this month’s magazine. And I thought our politicians were idiots!
Great, then instead of slashing with the broken glass, they can be bludgeoned with the "unbreakable" plastic resin...

Um, trying to bludgeon someone with a plastic bottle would be incredibly hard work. You would be handicapped compared to someone using their bare fists....
