A topic I first raised in March rings ever more true!
In March I wrote: "Is Obama the New Nixon? How long before full White House involvement in enemies list and attack politics is revealed?"
At the time, their primary target was Rush Limbaugh. Since then, they have expanded their field of fire considerably. Anyone who has a policy disagreement with Obama, even a fellow Democrat, can be targeted for destruction by this White House.

Readers may recall these words from Obama's inaugural address:

This is an insult to Nixon. For all his faults, he loved his country and wanted to see it do well.
I posted this on a similar thread yesterday:
Nixon was not a conservative fiscally or socially, but he was a conservative militarily, which is what we needed at the time. We had just gone through years of liberal handwringing from the Oval Office, and say what you will about Nixon, he didn’t do much handwringing militarily. His brilliant and gutsy approval of LINEBACKER II and the mining of Haiphong harbor was proof postive of that.
He can’t be classified as a conservative due to his dalliances with price controls (which caused REAL problems)and the EPA, which was created on his watch.
But Nixon clearly understood geopolitics, even though I appreciate Reagan’s approach more.
As for personality, Nixon was, by all accounts, an intelligent, charming and considerate guy. The face of the brooding, bilious man as painted by the liberals who controlled those impressions at the time, was just that, a painted portrait by people with a marked agenda.
His ouster from office by Liberals paved the way for the bloodbath in Indochina, the emasculation of our intelligence services, the ascendancy of the theocracy in Iran, and ultimately, 9/11.
Nixon had his issues, but he unquestionably (as Ann Coulter puts it) loved his country.
And, as for him being paranoid: if people really are out to get you, you aren’t paranoid.
I would take Nixon over LBJ, Carter, Clinton and Obama (expecially Obama) any day. No contest.
He is with his enemies list.

Well, we weren’t very PC to use bHo’s middle name during the campaign, so The Great One (F. Lee Levin) would call him “Barack Milhouse Obama”...
Nixon had an enemies list, tried to stifle dissent, tried to shut down free speech that he didn’t like and he attacked a media outlet.
Those are the reasons, beside the break-in, that democrats used to rub Nixon in the face of republicans for years. It was like we had scarlet letters etched across our forehead that spelled out Nixon.
How befitting for libs to see that their hero, obama is doing the very same things that they said they hated President Nixon for doing. The man they made resign in shame, and their hero is just like him.

Many presidents, including Clinton, asked for former president Nixon for advice on foreign policy. You can’t possibly put Nixon and 0b0z0 in the same phrase.
Nixon, an American patriot and a fierce anti-communist couldn’t possibly be compared to a non-American, anti-American usurper.
See, I practice what I preach; I didn’t include a coward and a thief with Nixon in the same phrase.
