A prelude to what will happen under Obamacare. What a horrible day this started out to be. We woke our kids up at their usual time on a school day to get in line for H1N1 vaccinations. The Oakland County Health Department got the word out this week that vaccinations will be occurring in 2 places. The nearest to us was Clarkston Jr High School. Initially we went to the high school because that's what the email told us. We rolled in at 8:15am for a clinic that started at 9. Nobody there except people leaving the building saying that it was at the Junior HS down the road. And here I thought that not many people showed up. Unfortunately, the high school looked like a scene from a new ride at a premier amusement park that just opened. Literally thousands of people there. We were told that the line is 5-7 hours long! It would be a cold day in you know where before I’d stand in line to get a stupid shot. I’ve never gotten the flu shot and never had the flu. I’m 52 and have a form of lung disease so I could probably get it without any problem but I think I’ll take my chances.
What a bunch of pansies this country has become.
Same here. We eat properly, exercise and sleep well WITHOUT the GOVERNMENT shots. Obama is using this to get people on board for GOVERNMENT HEALTH CARE! Look how the sheeple line up for it. Sad. Very sad that people don’t see through this.
I haven’t had the flu in years and hate needles anyway, so I will just skip it.
I don’t have that kind of time to wait in line for it. Never in a million years will you find me there.
I think this is another government scam kinda like global warming.
My daughter tells me the flu is pretty much over at her high school. Same with my two boys’ colleges.
by the time these shots build immunity, the flu will be over. I cannot believe that people will stand in line for a flu shot. My boys, hubby and I are not getting them this year, same as every other year. I don’t know if its the case with these shots, but I found out this year that aborted fetal tissue is used to make immunizations. I won’t be getting anymore, ever........

Even sleeping is a better use of my time than waiting in line for a GOVERNMENT SHOT that could kill me.
For some reason that picture reminds me of the scene from Close Encounters of the Third Kind...when they got all those folks to wear gas masks by telling them the air was poisoned.
Bird flu killed about 60 percent of people that got it. (Maybe fewer, if some who got it didn't get counted.) My guess is, a) the population it first hit (Asian poultry workers?) was not very mobile, b) it killed quickly, and c) Asian countries take epidemics more seriously than we do (dense population centers and collective worldview). Combine that with the fact that bird flu never really adapted to a human host, and it didn't spread very far.
The US produced an H5N1 vaccine for the National Stockpile. I think there's supposed to be enough for 20 million people. It requires twelve times as much antigen*, spread over two shots, to produce immunity in 45% of recipients. Others may develop reduced immunity.
If H5N1 mutates to better infect humans, but keeps the 60% fatality rate, it will be a Bad Thing.
* Trivalent seasonal vaccine contains 45 mcg; 2009 monovalent vaccine requires 15 mcg. Two shots of 90 mcg each = 180 mcg. 180 mcg / 15 mcg = 12.

Re. your picture: Senior citizens will wait in line for anything as long as it’s free, no matter what it is...........From there they’re headed to the mall for their morning “mall walks”........or to Meijers for their coffee clutches.

Excuse me—I’ve been a “Senior Citizen” for many years now, and I resent your remark regarding same.
I’ve probably accomplished more since I reached age 65 than you have or will in a lifetime.
I opened the Fridge and there was a Five Pound Brick of Government Cheese. I asked my Parent's where they got it and my Dad said they were giving them away for free so he went and got one. My Wife just shook her head while I laughed.
Trouble is, my Mom and Dad never ate Cheese unless it was part of my Mother's Lasagna. My Mother didn't use Cheddar Cheese, or whatever that orange stuff was, in any of her recipes. It would have been against the Italian Code of Conduct.
Needless to say, we ended up taking half of the Gubmint Cheese home with us. I think we gave it a taste and threw it away.
Lots of these stories of people standing in line for hours in bad weather waiting for the flu shot. Seems more likely they were waiting for the flu.

I agree 100%. Imagine all the money the drug company is making—AND WE ARE PAYING FOR IT.
Sadly this shows how effective SCM/MSM control is.
And that’s why the Baraqqi coalition is still to be feared in future elections.
