The democrat vote thieves of Washington State are SHOCKED!

(Boeing had only given them 10 years of endless warnings to clean up the corruption, high taxes, crooked workers comp, etc. etc.)

If they plan to use "cheaper labor", they'd be wise to bone up on workers comp law in South Carolina:

South Caroliina court approves workers comp for illegal immigrant

Snippets: Illegal immigrants injured at work are entitled to workers’ compensation benefits, the South Carolina Supreme Court said in a ruling.

The employer, Environmental Management Services, argued that because Curiel is a Mexican national who used false documentation to get the job, he was not eligible for benefits under the federal Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986.

Although South Carolina law specifies workers’ compensation eligibility for any injured worker “including aliens … whether lawfully or unlawfully employed,” the company claimed IRCA’s prohibitions on the use of fraudulent documents to obtain employment superseded the state law.

Good for Boeing!

I went TDY to Charleston many years ago; it was, and still is, a beautiful city and I am glad they are getting the business.

ACORN of Everett holds "PROSPERITY FORUM" tomorrow (updated)

On September 17, at 7 p.m., at the Everett Labor Temple at 2810 Lombard in Everett, ACORN is holding a "Prosperity Forum." Scheduled to speak are state legislators John McCoy, Mary Helen Roberts, and Mike Sells; Snohomoish County PUD Commissioner David Aldrich; and Snohomish County Councilman Mike Cooper. ACORN says on their flier that they will be helping people with food, baby supplies, health care, child care, energy bills, taxes, credit, and, of course mortgage help.

All you pimps and prostitutes, come on down tomorrow night!

No reason to avoid ACORN forum in Everett, officials say

Snippets: Actors playing a pimp and a prostitute haven’t frightened away some local officials from an economic forum that the community organizing group ACORN plans to host tonight.

Rep. Mike Sells, D-Everett, said he thinks the controversy has been blown out of proportion. While the trouble did cause him to question ACORN’s credibility, Sells said it wouldn’t prevent him from appearing at the forum as scheduled.

Uh, that would be the Boeing 787 that has yet to fly. It would be more impressive to talk about building an aircraft that was actually flying (and should have been a long time ago).

This is a dynamic that is like a double-edge sword. On the one hand, moving big business to the South is good, because it means more wealth will be created there. On the other hand, it attracts the liberal urbanites to populate the South and changed the political inclination there.

“Ford should follow suit after the latest UAW vote. They should go to a right to work state.”

American automotive companies are forced to use union labor in the United States, by law. This is one reason American companies are so mad at foreign car builders that come here... they’re exempt from those stricter labor standards. BMW, Mercedes, et al, can’t stop it if their workers unionize... but neither are they required to hire union labor right off the bat. American companies are.
