It was in 1988 that I discovered Rush Limbaugh. At the time, every media outlet spawned only liberal propaganda and liberal spins on whatever happened. I was tired of hearing that Republicans only wanted to kill people and that Newt Gingrich wanted to destroy Medicare - and the rest of the lies that Democrats tell constantly to scare people so that they can gain or hold onto power. I was tired of hearing of secret Republican plans to decimate Social Security, and that Ronald Reagan wanted gays to catch AIDS. It was doubly troubling for me because I was a college teacher at a Catholic college, and almost every other faculty member was a committed liberal, unwilling even to discuss whether or not the glorification of casual sex and gratuitous violence on TV was hurtful to children.
Then I discovered Rush; like a breath of fresh air here was someone who shared my principles and my values and who articulated them in magnificent fashion.

I was so proud of him,bet the libs were hissing from their forked tongues!!
Rush spelled it out with the truth. He was great. Now comes the spin from the MSM as they usually do.
Bump for later.
I discovered Rush in the summer of 1994. That was the summer of HillaryCare. Rush is an amazing person. If not for him, I shudder to think of how bad things would have been during the Clinton years. Maybe Algore would have become president in 2000. The point is that Rush is the articulate, passionate opposition to liberalism that the Republican Party should be, but isn’t. The GOP is gutless. Rush is a rock for us to hold on to while we weather Hussein Obama and Pelosi.
In watching the whole thing, three impressions stand out.
First, Chris Wallace is a great interviewer.
Secondly, it seems to me that over the course of the interview, Chris's attitude toward Rush improved, judging by the tone in the questions, and Chris's facial expressions.
The third impression has to do with Rush, and the fact that, unlike politicians on both sides of the ideological divide, not one question was dodged. All were answered. Succinctly. Directly. Completely. So refreshing, and it's why he may make forty million dollars over his contract.
400 million...and worth every penny.
Imagine Rush with a weekly 30 minute slot on Fox.
Yea, that’s the ticket..
I started listening to Rush in 1990 at work. I really got hooked when the L.A. riots happened.
He told it like it was.
You may be on to something. Looks like Rush is working toward that. Can you imagine what Fox’s ratings would do with Rush on regularly?

"To the moon, Edith! To the moon!" (And I'm no big fan of Rush.)
You are right on every score, Astronaut. We are blessed...
It's interesting to me that Fox has been giving Rush quite a bit of TV exposure. Greta has had him on quite often.
I'm a long-time Rush fan. The Left has been able to demonize him by suppressing or distorting what he actually says. The made-up racist quotes from the NFL mess are typical of their technique. Many people who "hate" Rush have never actually seen or heard him in action. It's great that Fox may be exposing the "real Rush" to people who may see him only as a negative stereotype.
