“Shots fired” reports (unconfirmed) in the Comanche Four area of base (residential). Also, reports that 500 military personnel are working on base to search and secure.

Unconfirmed reports of shots fired at Kuma (sp?) Village and Liberty Village, on-base housing units. KCEN-TV per PD scanners.

KCEN reporting that Kuma Village and Liberty Village are distant from the site of the original shootings today. Still on base, but not in the vicinity. (Ft Hood covers 15 sq miles)
KCEN now reporting 9 people are dead.
12 dead, 31 wounded. Dead suspect was a soldier, two other suspects are in custody, also soldiers.
wasn’t there a plot to do something like this in Colorado.
They say one is a soldier as were the others.

One police officer among the dead. He was a civilian employed by Ft Hood as part of base security.
