Last night, the New York Yankees made history by defeating the Philadelphia Phillies in Game 6 of the World Series to capture their record 27th World Championship. It is the Yankees first championship in nine years. The significance of the Yankees victory cannot be overstated. With their 27th championship, the Yankees have reaffirmed their place as the most dominant franchise in professional sports. More importantly, the Yankees have destroyed the curse of Hillary Clinton.
On October 26, 2000, the New York Yankees were on top of the world. They had just defeated a cute little team from the outer boroughs, the New York Mets, in Game 5 of the World Series to win their 26th Championship. It was the Yankees third championship in a row and their fourth in five years. The Yankees were unstoppable. Twelve days later, it would all fall apart.

But the voters who elected her were New Yorkers; they couldnt help themselves. The witch won, but not without a price to those who love the Yankees.

Ditto. As soon as she was named Sec of State, I was certain it was the Yankees’ year. I regret not placing a large bet.
Notre Dame has a curse too, though it’s not as well-known.
The wall mural affectionately called “Touchdown Jesus” was once visible from the field inside the stadium.
They have not won a championship since a 1997 expansion of upper-level seating that blocks that view. In fact, in those twelve years, they’ve fairly stunk up the joint.
A $200 million payroll should break a lot of curses.
A lot of people sure hate capitalism around here.
Not really. Just stating a fact of life: Big market baseball teams have an advantage over small or medium market teams. Actually, the Yankees should win the World Series every year, considering the money they have to spend.
