As far as I know, there is no law that says you cannot resign your position in the military and go back to civilian life.

Many people, especially officers (and even more so those in speciality fields) are routinely denied the ability to resign when they want. I’m not sure what they call it for officers, but for enlisted it’s “ophold”.
Not sure how much of the other stuff from his family member I believe.
harassment? Poor thing, good thing is alive, maybe the ACLU can represent him and get him life time counseling, vacations, and rent paid for by the rest of us!

OMG! when i first heard about the shooting today, but nothing about the shooter, i thought “sounds like something a muslim would do” , then i chastised myself for being a bigot....and lookie, lookie....guess i should always go with the first instinct.
I have a feeling this will be another crisis too good to waste. It will be used for many things. Lets not forget, Saturday the congress is voting to rescind the constitution by enacting health care. I realize this is a horrible tragedy for the families and all involved, but what takes place on Saturday will also be a tragedy effecting our entire nation!
Now the media has an excuse to ignore that vote.
Muslims and pit bulls seem to have a lot in common.
Who knows what damage he did to our servicemen while pretending to give them therapy?
