Dear Congressman Neal (MA-2):
As you know, I have several times called your office and written to you regarding my questions about Obamacare and stating my opposition to it. In response, I have received one form letter in which is reprinted the Democrat talking points and ending with the suggestion that I'm just not smart enough to understand the bill's brilliance. Because you hide from conservative constituants (see: last summer's closed-door "town hall" into which only preselected Liberals were admitted), let me take this opportunity to ask an additional question.
As I have waded-through the House's ever-changing bill, I have noticed that under the "public option," the government would be able to force the insured to live a "healthy life style" for the good of society. I also am aware that the Democrats consider firearms a "public safety hazard" and indeed here in MA prohibit the sale of any firearm that the Democrats don't like. Massachusetts also has been a pioneer in passing laws that prohibit self-defense.
This leads to an obvious question: do you support under ObamaCare the federal government's clear intent to prohibit anyone under the public option from owning a firearm?
You may answer on this forum or may answer me in private. You have my address and phone number.
Sincerely,
pabianice
the showers are on your left.
