Last night, the United States House of Representatives voted to rescind the constitution. They may have called it health care, but the net result will be the same. The vote passed 220-215. Obama celebrated by proclaiming on twitter “This is History.” Yes it was, He could have easily and more accurately proclaimed “Freedom is History.”
It’s rather ironic that the first black President may possibly sign into law a bill that will essentially make every man, woman and child the property of the US government.

Does that really sound like nothing more than good “health care” to you?
If they had wanted to pass real health care reform, they could have. They could have voted to expand coverage for those few who lack insurance. They could have done any number of things.
They instead voted to seize, take and control! And of what? All of us.
The 13th Amendment asserts that “Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.”
The 14th Amendment states: “No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property,…”
Slaves were deprived of both life and liberty. Slaves are also property.cFree people are neither property nor slaves. If you think you will remain free as a government health care surf, wait until you reach 65 and need a critical surgery and are informed you’re not worth the cost.
Wait until you are told you have cancer, but are instructed to wait 8 months or more for your treatment to begin. Wait until you are told your lifestyle choices are too risky for your own good and must be discontinued due to the cost or due to the burden placed on “the system.” Wait until you are forced to comply with scheduled checkups, therapies and medications. Or worse of all, forced to watch while others decide whether to pull your plug because you are now just too costly and worthless to keep alive.
It is a simple fact of life. He who makes the decisions, controls the money, and enforces the penalties is the one in charge. He who must submit is not. In truth, we cannot be both free men and women while at the same time having to bend our knee to beg for our very lives.
Yes, slavery was abolished 150 years ago, but, how much longer will it remain so.
I don’t see much for him to celebrate considering it only passed by five votes. Whoop de do. I can barely call this passing; passing with a push, maybe.

Like all slavery, eventually there is an uprising. People will get sick of it and they will make changes. It's that simple. The problem is the timeline. I believe there is a direction to history and that we are making progress as human beings toward a world in which the rights of each individual are sacred. Unfortunately it's often two step forward and one step back, or sometimes three steps back. The timeline will outlast some of us, and maybe all of us, but eventually we will get there. In the meantime, we have to fight to keep this from getting through the Senate.

We won’t have to wait. The Republican-controlled 2010 House will repeal it. We should actually send pelosi roses for giving it to us.

While most slaves were concentrated on the plantations, there were many slaves living in urban areas or working in rural industry. Although over 90% of American slaves lived in rural areas, slaves made up at least 20% of the populations of most Southern cities. In Charleston, South Carolina, slaves and free blacks outnumbered whites. Many slaves living in cities worked as domestics, but others worked as blacksmiths, carpenters, shoemakers, bakers, or other tradespeople. Often, slaves were hired out by their masters, for a day or up to several years. Sometimes slaves were allowed to hire themselves out. Urban slaves had more freedom of movement than plantation slaves and generally had greater opportunities for learning. They also had increased contact with free black people, who often expanded their ways of thinking about slavery.
Slaves resisted their treatment in innumerable ways. They slowed down their work pace, disabled machinery, feigned sickness, destroyed crops. They argued and fought with their masters and overseers. Many stole livestock, other food, or valuables. Some learned to read and write, a practice forbidden by law. Some burned forests and buildings. Others killed their masters outright — some by using weapons, others by putting poison in their food. Some slaves comitted suicide or mutilated themselves to ruin their property value. Subtly or overtly, enslaved African Americans found ways to sabotage the system in which they lived.
EXACTLY. The Welfare State is nothing more than Slavery. Take away a man’s incentive to earn an honest living, and you might as well be clapping him in irons.

If I dont have a job my healthcare and that of my family is absolutely free, If I do have a job I cannot afford health care. I think I will quit.

IF it even survives the Senate. There are still a lot of hills for this thing to cross before it’s home free.
and you can’t even leave the country (legally) without having to continue to pay your taxes to fund their plans.
when they start drafting doctors to forces them to render treatment to patients, at low to no wages, then it’s going to get real ugly
