John Allen Muhammed, the Beltway Sniper, is sentenced to die by lethal injection tomorrow evening at nine oclock.
The Supreme Court has refused to hear an appeal. It is not expected that Virginia Governor Tim Kaine will intervene.
Im not sure whether I should say, Let God have mercy on him, or May he rot in hell.
A little of both, I think.
Well one thing will be for certain. After tomorrow you can be sure John Allen Muhammad can never murder anyone ever again.
It is justice when someone who wrongfully takes innocent life forfeits their own.
>>Im not sure whether I should say, Let God have mercy on him, or May he rot in hell. <<
Completely both.
As humans, we desire justice — divine justice and a certain amount of vengeance. I want the qu’oran worshiping disciple of Satan in Ft. Hood to die an agonizing death and I don’t apologize for that.
As Christians we always ask for God to have mercy, even to our enemies and the enemies of our families, our communities, our country.
But in the end, it is God who has the final say. Rather than asking God to have mercy, ask God to render justice.
Maybe you can feel better with a “good riddance.”
Times runnin’ out bubba. Must really suck when you know you’re going to hell.
Sheesh! Nine o'clock?? Whatever happened to 12:01?

"Well.....bye!"
NOTHING WRONG WITH AN EYE FOR AN EYE AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH. HE KILLED FOR NO REASON AND HE NEEDS TO DIE FOR A REASON.
THE END!
He put himself there, you didn’t.
But we have spiritual responsibilities as Christians.
Sometimes they are not easy to shoulder.
I am somehow able to reconcile my desire for people to experience eye-for-an-eye justice in this world with God’s mercy in the next.
But, in my heart of hearts, I feel that if there is no hell, there is no justice.
It is only our (as represented by the State) business to arrange the meeting.
May he recieve the same mercy he showed his victims. His victims died not knowing what was coming. He, on the other hand is dying tommorow, each tick of the clock brings him closer to his end. Every heartbeat, every breath, every moment draws the end he sees coming closer and closer. I want them to be very methodical and meticulous with him tommorow. Let him feel each second slip away as he gets closer and closer to his reserved spot in Hell.
He murdered lots of innocent people, infidels in his eyes and you don’t know what to feel??
How about happy, elated, joy?
Pretty much what I have said for years. You want forgiveness, then talk to God. He’s in the forgiveness business. I am NOT!
That’s what Purgatory is for—for those moments when you can’t decide between “May God have mercy on him” and “Rot in hell.”
This is sure going to teach him a lesson, and he will never murder another person again.
What’s to feel bad about?

Since he is a muzzie and a mass murderer (redundant?) he will burn in Hell and I have no problems with that.
I won’t be losing any sleep over it.
You don't know how to feel about what? The execution? Or that Stoutcat wrote: ‘Im not sure whether I should say, Let God have mercy on him, or May he rot in hell. A little of both, I think’ ?
For myself, I feel amazed that the execution will take place so soon, that it is not being strung out for a longer time. I am saddened and angered by the useless deaths he caused but I take no joy in his death. I also feel resigned. I am resigned to the fact that some people, like him, just “need killing” and there's nothing to be done about it but kill them before they do more harm.
As to Stoutcat’s dilemma, I understand the mixed feelings, and I try to keep in mind some words from the prayer I say the most: “forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.” And there is no conflict between those words and believing some people need killing if you see allowing such people to live and continue to do harm as a trespass against those so harmed.
Thats ok let me feel for you.I say let the murdering bastard rot in eternal hell.Just think of the families, not him.
May he be embalmed with bathtub gin.
May he buried head down, away from Mecca, in pig manure.
God is on record as commanding that what we call Capital Punishment, is not only OK, but required, “To put away the evil from society.” God has great mercy, and we are to forgive, but that does not remove the consequences. He should be offered the opportunity to accept Jesus and, regardless of the outcome, the sentence carried out.
If he chooses to accept the Lord, then God in His mercy will take him home. If he chooses not, then he will hear the saddest words out there, “Depart from me.....I never knew you.”
If you want for the Father to forgive you, then you Must forgive those that you have aught against. Giving forgiveness helps you not the other, it helps your heart to heal. Our Lord, beaten, scourged, thirsty, nailed, bleeding dry, asked His Father to “Forgive them, for they know not what they do.” We can forgive without removing the need for consequences.
It is our job to send him to judgment.
My bad. I posted this last night, unaware that the PC was logged into FR under Speaks’ account (oops). So the original post and first comment are in fact from me, Stoutcat.
Therefore it’s I who am (is?) uncertain how to feel about this. So I really appreciate what you wrote. Thanks.
I respect your beliefs in this matter. I really do, but its not in me to forgive some people.
