This is the comment left at our blog:
As John F. Kennedy once said, "Where there's smoke, look for a smoke-making machine." The whole "story" of ACORN is a fabrication of the Republican National Committee and those folks in Republican politics who come out with the daily "talking points" for people like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. ACORN has had the audacity to register poor people to vote, and those poor people are usually Democrats. This infuriates the Republicans and the right wing commentators. So the right wingnuts find any transgression they can and pump it up and repeat it again and again through the Right Wing echo chambers of Fox News and the conservative talkers. They even had to send a camera crew to one ACORN office after another with the clear purpose of entrapment to get some ACORN people to help finance a small business that might just have some taint of prostitution. Give me a break! Most American people are not falling for this baloney. Most American people know that any organization as large and as active as ACORN is going to have a few people who break some laws. The bottom line is that ACORN does good work, ACORN registers people to vote, ACORN helps poor people get loans from shady and greedy banks, and ACORN as an organization has not done anything wrong. We will continue to hear the drumbeat of accusations and innuendo against ACORN from the Republicans because they have no other issue. The Republican policies of the last thirty years ruined the economy, wiped out the meager savings of a lot of poor people, and made a lot of rich Republicans a lot richer. The Republicans have nobody to blame but themselves. So who do they blame? ACORN, that's who.
Where is the “bear in the woods” pic?
If they are, find out what the going rate is. I’m sure I could do a much better job.
And they DO have money to burn!
Why not they paid for all those “grassroot” contributions to Obama’s campaign.
Just go on to elance.com or guru.com - all kinds of payment-for-blog posting arrangements advertised. Not just limited to politics. And they don’t pay well.
The more blog posts/comments there are pointing to a “home” domain name, the faster that domain moves up in the Google search engine results because of the “relevant” links pointing to it. Hence, companies will hire free-lancers to do the link-building.
Even at 10 cents a post, william pitt must be RICH!
Note the guys name is Magoo
I know the IMDB politics board has paid leftists attempting to control it especially during the busy time slots. They would always appear there several months before an election but after Obama was elected they never went away...someone is keeping the money flowing to them.
Watchoo talkin bout?
someone is keeping the money flowing to them.
...or their delusion is still going strong :)
Might? MIGHT?? How about EXPLICIT evidence of complicity in CHILD prostitution?
I often said liberals are so stupid they would only convict OJ if they had actual video of him slicing off Nicole's head. Now I not so sure...
That post is not unlike many found in my local fishwrap’s online rag...The Austin American Statesman. The only diff I can see is that the local ACORN posters spell Republican as Republikkkan.
Man, I loves me some ACORN—mmmm, child! An’ all tha haters can STEP OFF!
Where mah money?
(Hey, that was easy!)
“Glenn Beck. I hope you die in a fire...If you see him [Glenn Beck] on the street, punch him in the balls for me.”
Every time the Cons smear ACORN I am donating money to the organization. Look at the prankster who made that stupid video. This clown does stuff like calls planned parenthood to donate money to abort Black Babies and records it so he can try to make the group look bad.
Then Planned Parenthood accepts the money and looks bad all on their own.
Kansas will be one of the three American states hit hardest by global warming, but both of its senators refuse to vote for climate change legislation
“It is going to take an extraordinary mass political campaign if the American health care system is ever going to catch up with an industrialized world that has long recognized health care as a public resource similar to education or fire protection.”
Insteading of bitching about Fox News and Limbaugh et al., we should figure out who their top advertisers are and boycott the shit out of them AND tell those companies what we’re doing and why. The noise machine is a business, and ad dollars are its lifeblood. HIT ‘EM WHERE IT HURTS!
Ugly: Limbaugh likens Democrats to murderers, rapists
Caller takes down Rush Limbaugh, leaves Oxycontin Man defenseless.
Private ownership of oil is as ridiculous as private ownership of the ocean.
Well the Islamofascist are coming out of the closet on some blogs.
Ofcourse they are trying to infiltrate.
FR just know how to handle them. 13 years of experience helps.
"Most American people know that any organization as large and as active as ACORN is going to have a few people who break some laws."
Here's the attitude that is getting them into trouble. "Everyone breaks the law a little." This is modern Liberalism in a nutshell. It's ok to break the law, no matter how serious the law broken is, if you're "doing good." You cannot reason with such people.
Those morons attribute far too much power to the RNC. There is no Republican Machine. There are no talking points. One has only to examine the words and actions of RNC Chairman Michael Steele to realize how pathetically disorganized and ineffective the RNC has become.
To believe that the RNC issues daily talking points to top conservative pundits, one must ignore the obvious disconnect between the ultra-conservative opinions of those pundits and the moderate, all-inclusive opinions of the RNC party leadership. The conservative base, who support and listen to those pundits, are rebelling against the objective of the RNC party leadership to move the party toward the middle.
To suggest that the moderate RNC party leadership and the hard-right conservative pundits are on the same page (much less reading from it in unison) is ignorant, delusional, or deceptive.
And the Dem hypocrisy is exposed in my post #50 on that thread.
