Thank you, BP .. I love this part. It's exemplifies what the Founders and all reasonable citizens believe should be imbued in all Americans, and most certainly in the man who holds the highest office in the United States of America:

a fundamental and inborn natural love of country (and my thought: an inborn feeling of protectiveness toward it)

~~~~~~~~
"We have been obliged to anticipation of the definition of the term native country, because our subject led us to treat of the love of our country – a virtue so excellent and so necessary in a state."
Thence the paragraph following describes how natural love of country is imbued in civil society by virtue of its citizens being born to that land.
~~~~~~~~~

We just don't truly yet know to which country 0's love and protectiveness is extended, if any. It certainly hasn't been naturally exhibited toward the USA.

And here we suffer the repercussions of that very doubtful inborn love, allegiance and protectiveness of country.

He roots passionately for the Chicago White Sox .. pathetic that his country and her citizens don't elicit that same passion, protectiveness and devotion.

At some point, we must purge the Liberals from our midst. This social cancer has spread far enough. It is not just the”government.” It is those who elect it...
