I never stated that you said it was illegal for Americans to travel to Pakistan in 1981. However, there have been quite a few people here and those entrenched in the birther movement who said that it was illegal for Americans to travel to Pakistan.
And while there may have been a State Department Pakistan "Travel Advisory" at the time, a travel advisory does not prohibit American citizens from traveling to those countries.
In fact, I was born in and lived in a country that has had a State Department travel advisory in place for my entire life and have lived in, worked in of visited around 15-20 countries that have a State Department travel advisory.
