A friend of mine sent me this story of his time in the Marine Corps. Read through to the end, it’s a shocker.
What strikes me most is what he said as to where he grew up: Indonesia. He told me he wanted to be President of the US someday. I remember lightly smiling and commenting that maybe by the time he gets to be 40 or so, America will be ready for a Black man to be President and I wished him luck. We spoke of the racial tensions I saw at home while growing up and I asked him if he ever saw that overseas or since he returned back to Hawaii. I don’t remember his answer, but we spoke more of his time overseas and his thoughts on life and philosophy of government. He made some strange comments to me, it was obvious he never set foot for any time in the continental United States and I told him he better realize that he is making judgments about the United States when he himself never actually lived there. I told him, “Hawaii aint the United States!”
He also told me something that I never forgot, for it caused me to do some other things in an effort to be nice to him and possibly a favor. We spoke of where I had been and the world as I saw it. I told him I had been to Africa , Mombassa specifically, and he said to me abruptly, “I was born there”. I told him he is not eligible to be president if that was true, but I remembered he said his mom was an American, so, maybe it was okay.

It’s a few dots. Get enough dots and you have a picture! I pinged you because it’s interesting. The accounts of people knowing Obama - or knowing of him are few and far between... so we have a mystery. That’s seductive.
naw...no flammage here. I just don’t consider him to be very dark skinned (i.e. “black”). IMO, he’s clearly light skinned and multi-racial (i.e. “mulatto”).

Well, not really if you think about it.
It's where the term "farmer's" tan comes from. Someone who gets tanned on their arms [or lower legs] (but not the trunk of their body) because they're out in the sun in a t-shirt.
Barry, due to his "profession" and coming from the climes of Chicago and D.C. more than likely wouldn't have gone shirtless (or even short sleeved shirt) too often. Thus, only from his neck up got the sun exposure resulting in the tan that's noticeable over his very lite skinned body (trunk).
Remove the regular exposure to the sun, and his skin returns back to the much lighter shade we see in his early childhood pics as well as the contrast in the other pic of him (on the beach in HI?) recently.
Everything I’ve read, but don’t ask for links I don’t have ‘em, the Obummer was always claiming he wanted to be King as a young man, and claiming descent from a royal line. In that regard, he does run his presidency more like a monarchy (and not a constitutional monarchy either)! His way or the highway. Wish with all my heart there was actual corroboration of all of this.

Before you get too far along with the media, my suggestion would be that you consider using hypnosis in a taped session to help confirm what you remember and to recover additional details that you might be able to corroborate.
Then, when you are confident in your recollections you could undergo an independent lie detector test. Lie detectors aren’t admissible in court, but they can go a long way with publishers and other audiences in hearsay situations.
It won’t “prove” anything but will provide support to your recollections that the public understands. Naysayers will inevitably ask “Did he take a lie detector test?” And you could say “Yes, I volunteered to take one and passed!”
You might then have a story (with some pictures) that you could take to the tabloids if you wanted to. Some of them would print is as is, but with hypnosis and a lie detector as backup it might be worth more and also encourage others to come forward.

I dont care about the specifics of his grqandmother as far as village or city, all I know is the accounts were from her and the translatedlanguage indicates she either meant he is a son by spirit or actuality
Since I heard him say Mombassa, I believe Mombassa. If Grandma wants to call him a son of the tribe/village, Mombassa might be close enough for her

When it comes to the translation of what Obama’s Kenyan grandmother said on video, everyone here on this forum is just going off of what they’ve read on the Internet to be the “correct” translation.
I know that Barack Obama II was born in Mombasa. However, I don’t speak Swahili, so I can’t tell you what the Grandmother said. But given that Barack II was born in Mombasa, I lean towards her saying that he was born in Kenya or even specifically Mombasa.
In other countries it would be acceptable for a person of Barack’s color to claim that they are “white.”
In the USA it’s “cool” to be black so everyone with even a little black in their physical characteristics claims that they are BLACK her in the USA. Most whites in the USA view it the same, a little black is all black.
I have traveled the Caribbean and Africa. Barack Obama is in no case a “black man”. Barack is a guy that wants to be a “black guy”.
