WASHINGTON STATE COP KILLER TRAGEDY, BY MIKE HUCKABEE
THE FREEDOM POST ^ | December 2, 2009 | Governor Mike Huckabee

Posted on 12/02/2009 3:23:20 PM PST by TheFreedomPoster

The senseless and savage slaying of 4 police officers in Lakewood, Washington has raised many questions as to why the alleged murderer was even on the streets. My name has figured prominently in many of the stories because I commuted his 108 year sentence to a term of 47 years back in 2000. I take full responsibility for my decision then. Unfortunately, many of my fellow conservatives don’t seem to want to take responsibility for the facts surrounding the case.

The Maurice Clemmons presented in a commutation request in the year 2000 was much different than the one who is being sought for the killings of the police officers. The case before me was of a 16 year old who received a disproportionate sentence of 108 years for burglary and robbery charges. He had already served 11 years in Arkansas prison by that time, which is more time actually served than most similar cases would have netted in sentencing alone.

Does anyone have a fork with really long tines to get through Huck’s deep body fat? I’d like to stick a fork in him.

Well Huck, I hope you can sleep at night. You are acting like a dimocrap, lying to cover your misdeeds. Why don’t you just become one? You would probably stand a lot better chance of getting elected again.
I hope the four dead cops visit you in your dreams.

He made a mistake. We all make mistakes but 4 good police officers died because of his mistake. Now Huckabee needs to stop the BS and take full responsibility for his actions. Darn it why can’t these politicians stop wimpering and act like real men.

I don’t understand why there appears to be such severe hatred for Mike Huckabee. When he explained what happened, it sounded reasonable. I often hear hateful comments toward the mere mention of Mike Huckabee’s name. Is it only because you don’t think he’s conservative enough? It’s starting to make me wonder if Free Republic is not what I thought. I’m not trying to start a fight. I’m just trying to understand your position.

Plus, why is the fact that he used to be overweight relevant to anything? I’m just asking.

Look, Huckabee still has a forum on Fox News. The guy isn't going anywhere, unfortunately.
