Dingbat Robert Gibbs says "The order of several thousand scientists have come to the conclusion that climate change is happening". There, that settles it! If several thousand scientists convinced him that the world was flat, he'd probably buy that as well! Yes Gibbs, climate change is happening, just as it has been from the creation of the world! You know, if you and Gore would REALLY like to help, then stop flying around in all those jets! Ever heard of video conferencing?

Well, Gibbs, millions of people think you are an arrogant, condescending, uneducated jerk. Based on that I think you should be put in public stocks and have your but paddled with bamboo every 15 minutes.

Anyone who knows anything about science knows there is NO such thing as “scientific consensus” and that “thousands of scientists” is not even a plurality, much less a majority.
And that science is not an election — the “most votes” means nothing.
This is the part of the movie when we start building spaceships to escape and have a lottery to see who gets to go.
It’s man made global warming to be sure. Man invented the fantasy that we’re coming to an end.
This joke has gone far enough. I have about had enough of the lunacy coming from Washington and wonder how these learned people can say and do what they do with a straight face.
It’s certainly starting to appear that “we the people” are going to have to resort to stronger measures than speaking truth to evil.
How dare anyone suggest science might challenge the warming faith, as if it is about science.

The solar system is not a ridged structure. It stretches and compresses in various cycles, but is stays relative in form. I find it ludicrous that some activity on a minuscule Earth is going to effect all that.

It is true thousands of scientists have agreed with Global Warming. In fact I think that everyone agrees that since the Little Ice Age we have experienced warming. The question is why.
The theory that the accumulation of greenhouse gasses has caused this was proposed and the basic science behind this theory seemed sound. Many scientists, not specialists in meteorology, when looking at the idea (seemingly reasonable) and the confirmation of the theory in the hockey stick graph (which was peer-reviewed hence they had no reason to doubt) and the supposedly thoroughly vetted computer models were convinced. Since none of the “deniers” were getting published in respected journals, they were not seen as real scientists. Hence it was not at all unreasonable for these scientists to sign on and state that they believed in AGW.
I would like to see new polls, taken after these scientists had a chance to understand the cherry-picking of data, the massaging of the data to show specific results, the incredibly poorly written and documented code, the sloppy procedures, the coercion to squash dissenting views, the hiding of work and data and the destruction of the raw data.
I suspect that it would be difficult to put together this same consensus.
