Why is Governor Schwarzenegger pushing for the same sorts of policies in Copenhagen that have helped drive his state into record deficits and unemployment? Perhaps he will recall that I live in our nation’s only Arctic state and that I was among the first governors to create a sub-cabinet to deal specifically with climate change. While I and all Alaskans witness the impacts of changes in weather patterns firsthand, I have repeatedly said that we can’t primarily blame man’s activities for those changes. And while I did look for practical responses to those changes, what I didn’t do was hamstring Alaska’s job creators with burdensome regulations so that I could act “greener than thou” when talking to reporters.

Here's the great thing about Palin and her responses. They are authentic - they are what she actually believes. I guaran-damn-tee that almost any other politician would, a) not have the nerve to respond, or b) only do so after monitoring focus groups about what kind of response to offer.

This is the primary thing that differentiates her from the John McCain's of the world.

She pointed out a while ago that if the greens really cared about the environment, it makes more sense to drill for oil here rather than keep importing it (i.e. wasting fuel transporting it through the oceans). The fact that the greens don't reveals their real agenda, and I'm glad Sarah is taking them to the woodshed.

Arnold though has totally been an abject failure and has destroyed the CA GOP in the process.

George points to Palin's comment saying Obama should not go to Copenhagen and references an USA Today/Gallup poll that has 7 out of 8 Americans saying we should focus on fixing jobs and not global warming.

Arnold responds saying we can do both and proudly talks about green jobs in CA including an algae fuel farm! Then he says it is "nonsense talk" to just focus on the economy. You can do both, have a delegation over there on environment and and focus on issues at home. "No excuse at all to boycott" the conference. There are people that don't believe in "fixing the environment" and "don't believe there is such a thing as global warming; those people are living in the stone age..."

No wonder Sarah unloaded on him!
