After protest after protest by the opposition, the Mullah supporters have taken it to the streets of Iran in a counter protest. I don’t believe that this regime is as weak as many people make them out to be, and it will take a civil war to remove them.

Seriously, I agree that the current regime won’t leave without a fight. I am convinced that many of the pro-regime demonstrators were ordered into the streets today, and that the government enjoys only minority support. But that minority is a fanatic one, one that will fight to the death.

I must tell you a story. My son manages a liquor store. Yesterday some men came in, obviously Muslims. First my son (being a smart a$$...don’t know where he gets that!) asked them if they wanted some chicarones (pig rinds). When one of them showed his ID (passport), my son said he thought Muslims didn’t drink....he just got a smile.

I had the same thought. Iran has a population of 60 million. A few hundred thousand is all the mullahs can muster? It's still a few hundred thousand too many but considering that the opposition turns up in the millions the pro-regime types are way outnumbered.
