Some say there is no bloodless way back from here.

Yep, I think there could be real trouble ahead. All my own efforts these days are in an attempt to be as prepared as possible for some serious social disruptions. I guess being prepared has become a bit of hobby. (I've got a *long* way to go, though).

Good for you.

I'm already as prepared as I'm ever going to be. I've been working at it for a while though.

"There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as a result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved."

One thought is that the army may very well disintegrate when the money with which they are paid no longer has any value.

We will follow the same pattern as we have since 1963: do what is politically expedient in the short term and worry about the consequences later. Unfortunately, politicians have ZERO incentive to plan for the long term. And as for next Nov—I don’t think the Republicans will fix this either.

About time too! I’ve only used it 546 times last year.
