He’s right!
john 3:16
I think Brit should keep religion out of it.
Not only that, if he doesn’t receive Jesus Christ as his lord and saviour he will spend an eternity in hell, as will we all.
Actually, I love that Brit put religion into it. He’s free to say so, more so now that he is not a Fox anchor.
Brit Hume's words are a voice of truth in the darkness of this age.
Sorry Brit, I’m not going to forgive Tiger just because he joins the right team no more than I would forgive Obama if he found Christ.
What a stupid statement from you.
If you want to do news then do news if you want to peddle your religion then peddle your religion, you can’t do both.
Tiger’s a whore. There aren’t any excuses.
Christianity didn’t help Brit’s own son...
I don't know enough about Buddhism to know what it offers or doesn't offer. Since I was about forty years old I have been convinced that the Gospel according to John (redemption, hope and your decent life starts right now) was written for me, personally.
I also know that from now on when Hume goes to the news award dinners they are going to make him sit at the yellow mustard table.
People are free to worship as they wish.
So, in your mind, there is never any redemption for sin? What religion are you?
So, in your mind, there is never any redemption for sin? What religion are you?
Sorry Brit, Im not going to forgive Tiger just because he joins the right team no more than I would forgive Obama if he found Christ. Not sure you are the one to grant forgiveness. Nor is Obama.
impossible to do for someone who lives his life based on those religious principles... Christianity is a way of life... there is no keeping it out...
' did his son live a Christian life?
And Judaism didn’t stop the founding of NOW, ACLU, NAACP, Hollywood, Rules for Radicals and a bunch of other social ills we continue to fight every day.
Just because I screw up, doesn't mean God isn't there for me, and that He doesn't love me in spite of myself.
Just a blatant revelation of our failures, I'd guess.
I think Brit should keep religion out of it.
Out of what? The discussion?
That’s a crummy thing to say. Compassionate, aren’t you?
I’m not upholding the rightness, validity, or whatever of what Brit said, only enjoyed his un-PC statement in this present PC climate. He said what he thought and believed.
I think people should keep their religious beliefs to themselves. This has nothing to do with compassion.
That’s fine. So did I.
I saw this, and could not believe it. The Christianity plea was strange, but the semi-bash on Buddhism was REALLY strange.
He’s right. God bless Brit. America, not just Tiger Woods, needs Jesus.
Looks like Tiger already tried that for about the last 5 years and look where it left him. Maybe Tiger should consider living with what God provides him in a method God also provides, instead of doing it all his way independent from God.
After all, a few years back, all I could hear from the GOP elites was that the religious right was killing them. And the irony--the religious right is the ONLY reliable ally of Israel in the US these days. Show me another group that goes to bat for Israel, on a reliable basis.n US Jews always want to believe the worst of Israel, and are so afraid of being called Zionist.
Tiger has a “conqueror” complex. He has conquered the game of the golf. He’s the best in the world. He conquered his wife, conquered his kids. He got restless and began to conquer other women. Dozens of sexual conquests. Only the grace of Jesus Christ will free him from himself.
true. thanks.
Actually, I love that Brit put religion into it.
Yep. Actually he is LIVING his Christianity by spreading the word and speaking truth without apologies or fear!
yes
absolutely, more than ever.
am sure brit is up to the mustard table. no prob for brit. he knows what he believes. he knows what he is talking about. in other words, it is personal and real.
good one. . .thanks.
sad, is it not?

it was terrific
I agree. Made me wonder without knowing whether Brit’s son had gone Buddhist.
If I’m Tiger’s PR team, however, I think I conclude that Tiger’s already put up one whopper of a phony front. Even if he were a sincere convert, many would always suspect his motivation if he made anything public about it.
AMEN
sounds like a remedy to me. . .thanks.
true. the same for us all. . .gospel = good news for us all.
God sees his heart.
sure thing. . .thanks for your comment.
as a 25 yr + practicing and studying Theravada Buddhist and now born again Christian , I have to agree with Mr. Hume .
While Buddhism can do much for helping one gain inner composure there is little in it that causes the practitioner to ‘fear God ‘ , or even their Karma . Buddhism can allow one to develop a distorted ‘ it will all sort itself out eventually’ attitude and this is why so many Buddhists feel comfortable with shelving the adherence to the very important 5 Precepts and more-or-less doing as they please. They do not ‘fear their Karma’ as Christians ‘fear God’ It’s an invitation to continue to commit sinful behavior. Buddhist should remember that the Buudha’s parting words were to apply themselves and see if what he ( the Buddha) taught worked . Few do . The ‘promise’ of the Salvation of Jesus Christ is vastly more weighty and there really is no comparison . I agree with Mr. Hume : Tiger needs Jesus .
Just because you aren’t 100% convinced on your faith doesn’t mean someone else shouldn’t speak out for their faith.
That was the lousiest thing I’ve seen you say in quite some time.
You don’t know this about me, but I go to Church and am seriously considering being baptized. I have no problem with statements of faith. I am only responding to this particular statement which, for some reason, annoys me. Don’t I have a right without having to take full responsibility for an entire faith? To me, religion is so personal and to use it as Brit did here rubbed me the wrong way.
so good to get your response.
it is exceptionally insightful.
thank you and God bless you through Jesus Christ.
if it ‘rubbed you the wrong way,’ then so be it.
it did not do so for countless others.
so there is reality in a democracy.
happy new year.
Bill Clinton claims to be a Christian, so who can say if anything would have been different if he was a Christian?
