Sorry, I am in the Big 12 region but the SEC is the toughest conference in the nation/world. I hope the Tide pounds the tu steers. Don’t get me wrong, I did enjoy seeing Boise State beat TCU. I once lived in Idaho and loved it.

Your schedule anaylisis is not an “apples to apples” comparison...while it is true that the big boys pad their won-loss with some easy games, almost the entire MW is littered with losing lower level and unranked opponents.

Take a closer look at TCU and Boise this year and you will find that the teams they beat were uniformly beaten by unranked teams by larger margins than either TCU or Bosie beat them by...being undefeated cannot be a realistic measure...Hawaii was unbeated recently and got their brains beaten out by the third place SEC Georgia Bulldogs.

Cinncy was undefeated and was crushed by the second place SEC team.

A playoff system would have given TCU and Boise a shot...but they would have faced much stiffer competition than they faced on their schedule.

Florida is likely at least as good as Alabama. If played again, the game could go either way—Tebow is one of the best and a very likeable guy. Nebraska barely slipped past a couple of mediocre teams but I commend them for handing Arizona their head on a platter. The PAC 10 has taken a steep dive into a fair conference at best.

The South ain’t San Fran. Try getting caught near a “pride parade” sometime with nambla members heading up the rear and tell me about it.

I didn’t single out TCU. I just said their fans have been adamant about their team being#1.

Neither team, BSU or TCU, would have beaten Cincy, hell they wouldn’t beat Pitt or WVU or UCONN.

Neither TCU or BSU belong in the BCS.

Yes the only conference worse than the WAC is the MAC.

Amazing how you guys omit the conference games Alabama and Texas play.

Hmmm let me see now, which team in the WAC or MWC matches against Florida or Nebraska.

If you said “none” you win 1000000 points.

As far as this ridiculous notion that a 16 team playoff would solve the issue, let me say this about that - wrong!

Why stop at 16? What about teams 17-182? Don’t they deserve a chance?

Besides tournaments are ridiculous since they depend on the bracket anyway. A team in a weaker bracket will make it to the championship game even though they don’t deserve to do so.

So here’s an interesting thought. Had Nebraska beaten Texas, who should have played Bama in the Championship Game, knowing what we know now? Should Texas still have played, or even should have Florida gotten another shot?

I think the computers would have had Alabama play Cincinatti and and they would have Destroyed them), TCU or Boise State would have played Florida and got beat(no contest), And TCU or Boise State would have gotten beaten by a totally PO'd Texas team.

Alabama 1, Florida 2 Texas 3 Cincy/TCU/BS fighting for 4th.

Right now, unless Texas surprises the heck out of even their diehard fans, Alabama is #1 and not "co national champs" with Boise St, like in pre-BCS 1997 with Michigan/Nebraska where Nebraska destroyed a real team with Peyton manning as QB in their bowl game and Michigan beat a 1 loss Pac-10 team in their bowl.

If Texas pulls off an upset, or miracle of miracles, dismantles Alabama, Boise St has a better chance of being Co champs. Florida just looked too good and Texas didn't against NE... which is why we need a playoff. Who picks the bowl berths basically decides how a team is ranked.

If there was a Playoff system in Football, people would be like "March what?" about Basketball.

That game last night was weak.
GEORGIA TECH tonight, orange bowl verse Iowa. I not sure how it’s going to go, seems pretty even match but GO JACKETS!

Both would kill TCU or Boise St.

I liked the pre-game for Florida game, J Johnson saying Tebow was not accurate enough for NFL, then Tebow goes 16 for 16 with most pass 15 yard plus down field. Tebow was awesome.

Funny seeing Texas CHRISTIAN U students drinking beer, that just don’t seem right. I was like wow, what’s wrong with this picture when that 18 (prob) year old girl was chugging a beer with a TCU shirt.

I noticed you didn’t mention Nevada’s bowl game. ;->

That's only because the writer didn't mention it in his article, and I quoted from him.

But regarding that game... YEESH! What the heck happened to Nevada's running attack?

It was truly pitiful!

Where is Utah now? Where will Utah be next year? How many National Championships has Utah won or ever win? So WAC off somewhere else.

Yes the only conference worse than the WAC is the MAC.

Based on this year's bowl game outcomes, the PAC-10 gets a dishonorable mention too.

Cincy was not even in the same league with Florida. They don’t know what hit em, imho.

No question about it. Although I would’ve like to have seen what the game would’ve been like with Brian Kelly coaching.

However, there was no question Cincy didn’t belong in that game. The Big East is a very good, very competitive conference with a lot more parity than most others.

However, since Miami and Va Tech left, their marquis teams are 1-2 ( I think) against other conference’s marquis teams. However, the conference as a whole has a winning record against other conferences ( I think).
