With the fact in mind that police are there in minutes when seconds count, anti gun groups applaud keeping college campuses Gun Free Zones...and killing zones. They are gleeful in promoting keeping students helpless when attacked. Here's the press release from the "Freedom States Aliance." (What a name for an anti-freedom group.)

Let’s call them what they are.
“Completely Defenseless Zones”.
I have an English to Psycho translation “Phrase Book” which contains the following entry:
Gun Free Zone [Eng.] = Target Rich Environment [Psy]
What’s the problem?
Anyone can tell you that if college campuses (and even junior highs and high schools) will put up signs that say “Gun Free Zone” that that will immediately stop all guns from coming on campus. Those signs will stop the bad guys!
Maybe a compromise is in order.
With as much alcohol and drug use on campuses as there is, maybe a proliferation of guns is not a good idea. But teachers, school employees and resident advisors should be allowed them so students aren’t completely defenseless.
Students should be allowed non-lethal forms of defense such as pepper spray and tasers.
If you are going to deprive someone of their inherent right to defend themselves then should have to accept the liability for doing so.
