Those who are obsessed with Sarah Palin will have plenty of new opportunities to love/hate the former Alaska Governor as she has just signed on as a contributor to the Fox News Channel. FNC has confirmed that while Ms. Palin will not have her own regular show, she will appear on the network’s programming on a regular basis as part of a multi-year deal and will host an occasional series that will run on the network from time to time.

Get rid of the Huckster and replace him with Palin.

Palin will NOT have her own show. She will occassionaly host a series of special shows.

“Former Arkansas Governor and Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee has been hosting his own show on FNC while still remaining a possible 2012 candidate for the presidency so the move by Governor Palin certainly doesn’t mean her political career is over.”

Good move. Keep her face on National TV on a weekly basis. In effect free political campaign funding.

this sound like a job and i don’t like her considering or spending time in job responsibility other than preparing and getting ready to run for president. This will sap time away from her, like a side thing and makes me think she’s less likely to run for president

Sounds like, if this story is true, she will be a commentator, good for her. This way she has an even bigger forum to go after Obama and his garbage policies. She isn’t having her own talk show on Fox, she will probably be doing political commentating, kinda like what Dick Morris and Ann Coulter does

Well, I think this is a good move financially and personally for her. Not for a political career...but, for a career in media-—this is an excellent move.

I think we might have to accept that she has decided to be a cheeleader instead of a player.

This gets her in front of lots of Americans on HER terms. She needs to show people who she really is as opposed to how the LSM and dems portray her.

I think we might have to accept that she has decided to be a cheeleader instead of a player.

Why? What is so "Presidential" about not being in the public eye? That sounds elistist to me, and since she is running as a pseudo-populist, being accessable and on the screen will let non-political people feel connected with her.

Let's face it, politically active people have already made up their minds about her. The mass number of people she can win over are not going to read a white paper on the trade situation of the pacific rim, they are going to watch her on TV and see if she is someone they like and can trust.

That depends on what her future plans are. Maybe she's decided not to run - then this would be a great move - financially.

What other moves has she made lately that you think were not a good idea?

That’s for sure, do you know how Reagan polished his communication skills? GE Theater. He credits GE theater as the starting point for his career in politics.

Sarah Palin has already had a career in politics but what she was lacking is the communication necessary to deliver her message.

This may indeed help her.

EXACTLY. I don’t know why some are overreacting and saying she is going to have her own talk show, she is not! She is a political commentator, good for her. Many Dems watch Fox News too, this is her way to state her opinion to those who might not follow her on facebook or twitter. Look at Bill O’Reillys audience, many Dems watch him too. Sarah being a commentator and showing up once in a while to give her opinion about Obama’s agenda is GREAT..expect libs heads to explode in 5,4,3,2,1

Hey, the liberals love the great Zero being on tv more than Larry King. And unfortunately he is president.

I think this move by Sarah is a very wise one. She keeps in the public eye. This will enfuriate all the liberals so she will be a constant source of talk on all the other channels and broadcast. She is able to speak directly to her base and to the Republicans through Fox.

Every successful politician in history has realized the importance of being constantly presented to the public. She will be doing that. Good move.

She’s not going to be a cheerleader, she is going to be a POLITICAL COMMENTATOR..geez do people read..she is not going to have her own talk show. She is basically going to take her facebook posts and put them out there for a larger audience. Appearing on Fox News from time to time to give her political opinions is great. She can appeal to those who might not share her views, she can go head to head with others who appear on the network to get her point across. Huckabee has his own talk show, Sarah Palin is going to be a commentator, there is a difference. And, Huckabee having his own show hasn’t hurt him one bit, in fact, it has helped him. Look at the polls, to this day even with letting out that murderer to go kill again his poll numbers are STILL high

FOX's ratings will benefit, and so will Sarah.
She's not getting her own show, and will be acting in the same capacity as Ann Coulter or Dick Morris-contributory only.
This is very good exposure for her. I for one think it's a great idea.

It’s a great move, not only brings in higher ratings for fox news whenever she appears, but she will also be stating her opinion to a much larger audience. We all know not everyone reads her facebook posts or knows anything about what she has been saying. This is great news for her. People who have a problem with this need to get a grip, who are they to say what she should do with her life, are they her mommy. Let Sarah do what is best for Sarah, she is a smart cookie, she knows exactly what she is doing!

I am politely going to disagree with you on this. There are a lot of democrats who do watch Fox & or open minded enough to listen to what she has to say, without the so called spin machine”s” working overtime to discredit her.

My family & I can not wait to see her on tv, and to run for national office.

I hope you got the right book - there is a spinoff titled "Going Rouge".

I would put the url but I already gave it a hit just finding out if what I had seen was true.

It is.

It's not a nice book to Sarah Palin.

I was hoping she’d stay “above” TV, and thereby seem more presidential, IMHO.

Those days of revving that perception are over, methinks.

We live in the MTV era, home of Short Attention Span Theater and the New York minute.

Print papers are dying off, and reading about yesterday's news and pontificating about it over a morning cup of coffee are things being relegated to the Fond Memories dust bin.

We just elected a president we don't know anything about (or at least didn't at the time of the election). We gave him a super-majority of his party in congress that ran on nebulous promises of "change" and "hope". Bread and circuses rule the consciousness of the masses now (thanks in no small part to our "educational establishment"), so keeping someone on the outside in the public eye at regularly close intervals makes sense for this potential candidate.

In spite of everything, she has a base, very dedicated, and it appears to be growing by the day.

This exposure can't possibly hurt her.

CA....

Is there any chance Newt will be running for Pres?

At any rate, after reading some comments here, maybe it is a good move. As someone said - these are the days of MTV, short attention spans and whatever else they said. :) It was a good point - just us old fogies who think it’s not Presidential.

And a word about Huck, I never liked him but now that he has a show, I like him quite well....but I still wouldn’t vote for him for President. That hasn’t changed.

Quitting her job and writing a tell all book.

A statesman doesn’t do that.

Write a book about policy, history or political thought; not a book about yourself.

That is, if one is interested in being a political leader. IF one is interested in making money and being famous...she has made all the right moves.

You know, some people just can’t spell well.

Just like some people are rude and obnoxious - but that’s a choice, unlike some physical ailments that could make one not a very good speller. Not everyone wins the spelling bee.

Well, she may just want this job. She studied journalism or broadcasting, I can’t remember. I believe she wanted to be a sportscaster once.

I’m not personally thrilled about this because of the losers that went this way from politics, but I guess one will see how it plays out. Sad to think this could possibly throw her OUT of conservative political leadership...

First of all, no one has even confirmed that this is even true. Sarah or Meg haven’t said anything about it. If she were having her own TV show, that’s one thing, that would probably mean she doesn’t consider running right now, but being a political commentator on Fox News, I mean really, isn’t that exactly what she is doing on Facebook, politically commentating except its not on TV..this way she can reach an even larger audience, go head to head with those who do not share her views. She can slam Obama everyday, now who doesnt want to see that! she knows what she is doing, she has been doing the right thing her own life. She doesn’t need anyone telling her what to do. She will do what is best for her. If she were to listen to talking heads and everyone everyday giving her this opinion on what to do and that opinion, her head would have exploded a long time ago
