CNN and Fox News report last night that Sarah Palin in signing on to Fox News as commentator starting tinight on O'Reilly! Two videos from CNN and Fox News announcing the fact combined on one page for your conveience. (Moderator: If this violates Free Rebublic policy, please PM me, otherwise I'll assume it's OK) Conservatives rule!
I think...a great move on her part. HUGE audience; major league exposure. It’s time America gets to really know Palin, and this is one heck of a bully pulpit.
Maybe when Sarah gets her show there will be a daily thread — The Alaskan Vixen -— much like the Rush, Beck, dailies for a lot of these items.
Fox made more bucks than all 3 networks, cnn, msnbc combined
in 2009 700 million clear.
With Sarah they will double that.
Very smart move, indeed....for Palin and Fox!
I’m not sure about this. I was hoping she would run fo Prez, and she still might. I thought she was doing a good job of staying fairly out of the fray but still able to express her viewpoints, and bash the Zer0.
Would this, and her Facebook, give her too much exposure before 2012? If she’s going to give her opinion, much like Dennis Miller or Karl Rove then fine, but I would hate her to stoop to the level of having to ‘debate’ liberal clowns.
Personally, I think more exposure would be a good thing!
I don’t think Sarah is going to do a show. She is signed on as a contributor, so probably she will do a segment. It looks like maybe it will be on O’Reilly, which is the top rated cable news show. 5 minutes a day or three times a week would be perfect, along with participating in various panel discussions. Kind of like when Ronald Reagan did radio commentaries for years before running in 1980.
Her work ethic.
She took semesters off to earn enough to pay for school. Those days are gone for her, but this opportunity arose and she is taking advantage of it, consistant with that work ethic in her late teens and twenties. It will allow her the flexibilty to still be a mom. Win @ home. Win IMHO.
Oops, : Win Win IMHO....
From what I understand she’s signed on to appear on the BOR show. Is that correct? If so it’s a shame...even seeing Sarah isn’t enough to get me to watch that gaseous windbag.
Correct and I agree, O’Reilly appears to be full of himself. Do you think he’s fair and balanced?
Here is a partial bio on Roger Ailes. It’s not complete, but the reference him being a “pit-bull” republican, plus his help with President Ronald Reagan is very interesting. Greta did those interviews with Sarah and had tremendous ratings. Every time she’s on tv the ratings skyrocket (even Oprah, the best ratings in 3 years).
A. The next conservative President of the United States.
Why not just post links to both videos here. You know, for our "conveience".
Did you contact the moderator as I suggested privately? Don’t be a whiner - If you really, really find Free Republic not to your liking, let the webmaster know directly (email@example.com), learn to live with it, or move along.
I so love it when newbies here lecture those of use who have been around awhile, don’t you? LOL
You've got some serious nerve.
Dude, you don’t give up do you? Please contact the moderator if you have a problem and he will contact me if he agrees with you.
Yes. These are the new trolls. Like the old trolls, they select "overly" conservative caricature names (like reallyreallyreallyconservitivedude or iloveamerica1980) to try to fit in.
Instead of posting directly, they are creating a fog of threads with useless links with no discernable value. Theyre posting threads so often, they dont even have time to spell check.
This may be the downfall of FR, if the mgt doesnt do something.
I detested the O’Really interview with sarah. He is so full of himself. I REALLY try to give the Fox people the benefit of the doubt, but it is quite hard with him
That's just know how it works here. I will post whatever I want, whenever I want.
Um, that “lecture” comes straight from the Free Republic homepage. If you have a prpbloem with it, contact the moderator.
Pray tell, is that English?
The excessive number of blog posts with one-sentence (or less) “excerpts” is one reason I read FR quite sporadically these days.
Stay on topic or please leave!
I agree, OReally is full of himself. I still wonder why he has the 8:00 slot at Fox!?!?
I can’t speak for “reallyreallyreallyconservitivedude” but as for myself, judge me by what I’ve posted. If it benefits the conservative cause and promotes discussion then it serves the purpose for which Free Republic was created in the first place!
“I will post whatever I want, whenever I want.”
Nope, never said it! I’m assuming that you’re waiting to hear back from the moderator while simultaineously refusing to stay on topic.
Now, if the mods don't want to enforce this, so be it.
Tanker, the modorator will have to expand on that definition. Here’s why: Blog sources (from serious bloggers) are really no different from news sources nowadays as they both (should) contain information that is assembled in a unisue format that differs from other available medium. I.E.: Some contain text only, some audio only, some video only and some a combination. Some also contain additional information unique from the others, i.e.: unique commentary and such. It’s difficult to transfer the complexity and creativity of blog context withn a post here, therefore some of us use our blog URL’s instead. We’re talking about ONE extra click. Because of this, the afore mentioned blogs cannot fall under the “spam” catagory. As long as the blogger returns to engage the comments within his newly created thread, then there should be no problem. I can only assume that the moderators remove threads which are “not appropriate” nor newsworthty. As of yet, I still have not heard from any moderators, therfore I’m assuming my view is the correct one. I’ve qualified my comments in( ), so please read them carefully before responding. I await your comments.
Serious bloggers can spell "moderator.
“Now, if the mods don’t want to enforce this, so be it.”
Well, nobody, including myself, wants to “get away” with something just because it’s not been caught. Again, I still maintain that as long as it’s a qaulity, timely blog link (since it’s within the blogger catagory) which PROMOTES the conservative cause and additional discussion, then WHERE the information comes from should not be an issue (as long as it’s legit info., that is). Why would you or anyone else discourage this (based on the specific conditions noted above)?
“Serious bloggers can spell “moderator.
Why do you continue to ridicule and point out spelling errors (at least your 2nd time now) rather than engage in discussion????
Until your next thread.
The last thing I want to do is argue. I came here to meet conservative friends and have really enjoyed the spirit of unity here. Tanker, out of respect for you, I’ll do my best to post substantive, unique links. Please bear in mind that I converse with other conservatives all over the internet by posting to forums and engaging in political discussion. When they originate from my blog, it makes it that much easier for me since I “filtered” the story and know exactly what I want to talk about. Honestly Tanker, prior to our discussion I had received a lot of gratitude for many of the links that I’ve posted from “Dittos Rush” therefore I was encourged to keep going. It’s really not about “hits” to my blog, instead I simply love finding news first, locating video, posting to various forums and interacting with other conservatives. The current message of conservatism is in a small way being spread by bloggers and yes, I want to be a part of that and a part of restoring our country back to conservative ideals and legislation.
God bless! No grudges!
I love it. A freshly-minted n00bie blog pimp lecturing someone from the class of '98.
