Yes satire in this case. However, it does reflect the premise of my Theory of Liberals.
By avoiding getting into complicated details, I can share the basic tenants of my theory. My theory is that a liberal is a person who lacks the human genome that allows the reality of a situation to be mentally processed thereby arriving at a conclusion based on that reality. A great deal of empirical evidence exist to substantiate the theory’s premise.
Dr. Carson is also a dedicated Christian. Unusual because Hopkins is a very liberal place.
That’s an interesting theory. For the sake of argument, how would you then explain someone liberal converting to conservatism. That’s assuming they’re missing the human genome.

I will make my daughter READ it when I pick her up at school. When home, she listens to him. She is also part of Johns Hopkins programs for the Gifted and Talented. She’ll love this. Right now we only use their Math. Some of the Science though is questionable.

If they could figure out a way to measure the EMOTIONAL PART of the BRAIN with the LOGICAL PART of the BRAIN, they could medically determine this to be true. Now, that would be very interesting to set that up somehow.
Liberals RUN ON EMOTION; not fact or thinking.
I think to accomplish this goal, it would take a combination of neurosurgery and psychiatry to in effect explain liberals in total.

It’s hidden in the easy to understand tax code.
The brain is a wonderful thing. Consider the missing genetics as damage. Careful training can cause the brain to effectively route around damaged parts and use other parts of the brain for that task.
Consider a liberal going conservative like a stroke victim learning to write.
So instead of replacing bad wiring, we're simply wiring around the existing damaged wire. All right. That makes sense.
